Three times now I have watched episode ten, the last time with episode nine, back to back...I had some mixed feelings the very first time I viewed it, but that was likely because I had some expectations going into it that didn't pan out...I think this is a brilliant episode, follows through and connects to the entire season quite well, this entire season one has been spectacular to say the least, well done to everyone who was involved in making Picard one of the best in Star Trek...I wholeheartedly look forward to season two...Thank you Patrick Stewart, you're the best!...

I have been getting immersed into this series more so than I usually do, perhaps its because I really wanted to see another Star Trek series that continued the timeline after Voyager and here it is with Picard...I teared when I saw Data again at the end, but he looked sad and out of place and as we heard Data talking more it was clear as to why, that was another tear jerking moment when he told Picard what he wanted...
This episode really went for the emotions in quite a few acts...
I had mixed feelings about Picard dying and resurrected as artificial life, but it really makes sense looking at the whole season in unity, it has been building to this since episode one...I'm glad they ended this chapter in the story and did not leave a cliffhanger...Now going into season two we will likely have a brand new storyline, it will be as fresh as season one has been...
Loved the standoff with the Federation and Romulans, I really like the new Romulan warbird configuration too, it reflects the look they had during Captain Kirk's generation...The advanced artificial life was the only thing that matched my expectations in this episode, I expected them to have that appearance, kind of like the machines in the Matrix, it just seems like a logical design...
I noticed Seven of Nine has joined the crew, she was leaving with them instead of staying with the Borg in the crashed cube, they kind of left that part hanging, what was going to happen to the cube and the Borg left behind?...Maybe that part is going to be continued on in season two, and maybe Seven of Nine will remain strong and not desire to be a queen Borg again like she was briefly...Maybe...

Yeah, I was already on board with Picard But.
one has to look deeper.
Did you notice how Picard was there with Data when he died While golem Picard was shutting the Quantum Data Simulation? Mindblower lol, So Truthfully Picard Truly is Dead, His soul passed on, The Picard we have now Is a synth with a complete copy of Picard's mind. This opens up a lot of character possibilities and, Where is the story going next?

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Character, I Hope this does happen, And to boot this, Let's say there is some sort of story arc problem or some sort of fan backlash that Picard isn't the original Picard or I guess one could say, Bio Picard, Dude Q could just bring him back, It's happened in the books before which are supposedly canon, Consider something could go wrong with Golam Picard or Even, Golem Picard being more machine now than ever could revert into Locutus of borg, There are so many possibilities now. I can't wait for season two,

Star Trek TV shows generally take a while to get good — but if any of them was going to have a strong start, you’d think it’d be “Star Trek: Picard.”
After all, it returns Patrick Stewart to the role that made him famous, that of one-time Starfleet captain Jean-Luc Picard. Plus, the writing team was led by Michael Chabon, author of beloved novels like “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay” and “The Yiddish Policemen’s Union.” (He also wrote a lovely New Yorker piece about writing for Star Trek while his father was dying.)
As we discuss on the latest episode of the Original Content podcast, the resulting show doesn’t quite avoid the standard first season growing pains, with a fast-paced pilot followed by several slow, setup and exposition-heavy episodes. Throughout the season, the writers still seem to be figuring out what kind of show they want to be making, and it all ends with some preposterous, clunky twists in the two-part finale.
But even if “Picard” didn’t quite live up to our expectations, it’s still a pretty first season. It was genuinely moving to see Stewart on the bridge of a spaceship again, and to greet returning friends like Brent Spiner as Data (who died in the movie “Nemesis” but appears here in an opening dream sequence), as well as Jonathan Frakes as William Riker.
And despite its occasional clunkiness, the story finds new emotional notes for Picard as he struggles to overcome decades of disillusionment and become the Picard we know. There’s also fresh science fictional territory, as “Picard” treats artificial intelligence and synthetic life more seriously than any previous Star Trek show.

It is great to see Patrick Stewart return to the role of Jean Luc Picard. The first episode basically introduces the characters and sets the scene for what will effectively be a 10 hour movie. Okay so its not standard 'Star Trek'. Some people are saying this is not Star Trek. Well it IS Star Trek from a different perspective. I like it a lot. I also hate the swearing A LOT! If Gene Roddenberry been around it wouldn't happen.
This really is a great show overall. It stands by itself but at the same time fits inside the Star Trek world. Picard has a great story line - building on next gen and voyager but taking it farther, deeper and richer.

Well said, I've watched a few of the Picard episodes multiple times and each re-watch has been entertaining, I still re-watch Voyager and DS9 episodes on occasion, they were good series too...

I'm starting to watch this series over again in order, not sure of the developments of season two, hope its not too long before its done and available...Besides. not saying this in a bad way but Picard isn't getting any younger, they can't wait too long between seasons if they wish to continue...

Star Trek: Picard: John de Lancie to Return as TNG Villain Q in Season 2
Jean-Luc Picard is about to get reacQuainted with his greatest adversary. (No, that’s not a typo.)
John de Lancie will reprise his role as Next Generation trickster god Q on Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard, Paramount+ announced on Monday. The announcement was part of Star Trek‘s “First Contact Day” series of events; de Lancie also appeared on the Picard virtual panel to confirm the news. Production on Season 2 of Picard is already underway, with a premiere set for 2022 on Paramount+.
The streamer also released a teaser for the new season, with Picard narrating a tour of his French wine chateau and saying “the true final frontier is time.” We see shots of Milton’s Paradise Lost and a model of Picard’s old ship the Stargazer before the camera settles on a playing card — the Queen of Hearts — which burns up until only the “Q” remains. Then we hear Q’s taunting voice reminding us that “the trial never ends” before he cackles with glee.
de Lancie originated the role of Q — an omnipotent, shape-shifting creature who delighted in annoying and testing Picard — in the Next Generation pilot “Encounter at Farpoint” and reappeared seven more times, including in the TNG series finale. He later reprised the role on Deep Space Nine and Voyager. de Lancie’s other TV credits include Breaking Bad, Charmed and Days of Our Lives.
