The co-founder of the Black Lives Matter Los Angeles chapter slammed Taylor Swift fans as 'racists' and referred to Kansas City's Super Bowl victory as a 'right-wing, white-supremacist conspiracy' in a series of posts to social media. Melina Abdullah, 51, a professor of Pan-African Studies at Cal State University Los Angeles , took to X, formerly Twitter , to unload her opinions on the pop singer and her athlete boyfriend over the course of two weeks. 'Why do I feel like it's slightly racist to be a Taylor Swift fan?' Abdullah wrote on February 11, the day of the Super Bowl. Hours later, after the Kansas City Chiefs were declared the winners, Abdullah wrote: 'Why do I feel like this was some right-wing, white-supremacist conspiracy?!?! Booooooo!!!!' She doubled down on her stance after receiving a heated voice message from an unknown man.

U.S. Psychological Association's ABSURDLY woke new dictionary bans common phrases like 'you're killing it!', 'turn a blind eye' or 'blue-collar job' for being 'offensive' or 'a microagression'​

Psychologists should avoid encouraging phrases like 'you're nailing it' because it is a microaggression that could be interpreted as violent. That is according to a new 'inclusive language' guide that lists dozens of everyday phrases that should be swapped out for more inclusive terms. Even the terms 'take a shot at', 'stand up for' and 'birth sex' are in the firing line. The manual was released by the American Psychological Association (APA) in December 2023, an update to its first edition released in 2021.
