My wife's friend in Brooklyn just had to call the police to shoo away a crowd of 'newcomers' that set up camp in her tiny back yard. There is a shelter three blocks away and it means that they are everywhere, getting into people's property. She said after the cops left they set up camp two doors down on someone's deck.

I wouldn't want a tit for tat retaliation because then you end up with another 20+ yr war like we've seen in the past. I'd want to use so much overwhelming force, like the type they've never seen, to at least try to make them think twice before they even think of doing something like that again. Otherwise it's like shoplifting nowadays; you go into a store & steal, legal system does nothing as far as punishment, so you go back the next day & steal again; until next thing you know their are hordes of people with 33 gal Hefty bags ransacking your store because they know nothing will happen to them, MAYBE if anything they'll get a slap on the wrist. Up until now, same with Hamas. And the idiotic thing are on their part, besides Oct 7, is once Israel started its offensive - all Hamas had to do was simply give back the hostages & then it'd be over.
Plus because they don't have a traditional military with battalions, regiments, matching uniforms etc., they blend in with civilians & hide in tunnels, apartments, hospitals, under hospitals, schools etc. thinking that "These hideouts will protect us from Israel while we get to pop out of hatches from tunnels under the sand, fire RPG's at Israel, then quickly close the hatch & flee into the tunnel system." I think Israel had enough of that and they know if they cave in to pressure & stop now, it's like then you shouldn't even have started in the first place because then you are back to square one.
The world should be absolutely condemning Hamas (not Israel) for their gross, insane behavior on 10/7 and should also be on them non stop to give back the hostages. Had Hamas not done what they did on 10/7, none of this would be happening in Gaza right now. Just like if the Japanese didn't attack Pearl Harbor, they wouldn't eventually have two nuclear bombs dropped on them.
Now say if Israel led a covert, unprovoked attack against Gaza via dirt bikes, dune buggies, parachutes with fans on the back of them to infiltrate Gaza and start gleefully murdering, raping, chopping limbs off of the people there, the eyes of the international courts would want to kill Israel off & would shun them for eternity. But somehow since Hamas did that to Israel the world is like "You're committing genocide! You must stop now!" I really don't hear any outcry of genocide against Putin since he slams missiles & drones into civilian apartment buildings & communities all the time & his soldiers tie up, rape & execute civilians.
Of course this is all my interpretation but after seeing what Hamas did (and how sneaky they are with their tunnel systems that cost millions of dollars & decades to complete with the help of Iran - I'd wipe all of Hamas out by any means necessary. It's awful that innocents get hurt but thats an unfortunate part of war. When it comes down to it; it's better you then me.

Completely unsat. But state & city officials in NY/NYC love this. Word has spread world wide to criminals (and non) that "Come to NYC illegally. You won't get deported (and nobody checks by the way, they could care less) & you can get away with anything including beating the s--- out of police officers & nothing happens to you. Plus you get free housing, iPhones, medical, a stipend etc. It's "everything goes" - you can commit crimes 24/7 out in the open & nothing will happen to you.
So you have thugs & criminals coming from every country down south that doesn't want them salivating waiting to get their hands on NYC (or any city for that matter).

I got disgusted on Easter when went to the Google home page and just saw the regular Google logo & at the bottom of the page there was a super tiny Easter egg & in tiny print said "Happy Easter". Because we know damn well if it were some ridiculous day that the far left had invented that the Google logo would be custom, having moving parts to it, it'd be clickable to tell you facts or even have a built in game etc. But for Easter - F it. You'd think with the wide range of colors for easter that they could have gotten really creative with the Google logo & even have something for the kids like a easter bunny popping up, moving around etc.

The protest came less than a week after seven aid workers from World Central Kitchen were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, drawing global outrage and condemnation.
Video shared by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) shows Tarek Bazzi, a local activist, delivering remarks at a podium as chants of 'death to America!' sound in the background.
'It’s not just Genocide Joe that has to go,' Bazzi said in reference to President Biden.
'It is the entire system that has to go. Any system that would allow such atrocities and such devilry to happen, and would support it – such a system does not deserve to exist on God’s Earth.'
