My workshop doesn't have all the wall insulation installed yet because of work I'm doing to the inner walls...I have an ac unit running but it can't keep the building as cool as it could be, it's still about 79 degrees which is better than the temperature outside and still cool enough for me to work...

The shadow

What brand is it? When i was in college the Najib's government gave me allowance, i want to buy a old audi model with it but my mother didn't allow me to buy it :(
That is a Pontiac G6 GT 2006.

but it is dry and clear
It just clouded up raining now been clear and sunny the last 2 days the rain is welcome.

Building a pond??

So, I have an empty back yard, all except for a Tree and an AC unit...
Boring right... I added a few solar lights, and stained the fence...

Thinking about a couple flower gardens and...

A small pond with a frog spitter fountain.. you know, the kind that sounds like someone is peeing in the pond? LOL...

Anyways... does anyone here have one of those DIY kit ponds and did it turn into a dreaded money pit or was it a worthy endeavor???

DIY kit ponds...
if you are going to do it yourself, a "kit" seems not ideal.
what do they give you ? a shovel and pond lining fabric ?
how big of a pond are you thinking ?
a small one that you get as preformed plastic that you just set in place ?
or a slightly larger one that you use pond lining fabric ?
or a bigger one where you use bentonite clay as the liner ?

I was thinking I would dig a 400 gallon hole and put a plastic liner in it.
Put a drain in the bottom to gravity feed to a 1 x 2 x 4 sediment settling chamber and 800 gallon pump piped to a 1.5 x 1.5 x 3 planted bog and water fall spout on the other end. Then add rock and planted garden border and the spitting frog and a small pump just for fun.
Just a few 3 inch goldfish and plants... maybe attract some frogs or toads...

that sounds good.
potentially I got your logic wrong, so this may not apply.
did you think about what a power failure will do to were water ends up ?
alternate ideas might be to put the pump out of the bottom of the 400 gallon section and have the output of the pump feed into your bog and then gravity feed back into the 400 gallon section, might help you not have a drain at the bottom of your 400 gallon section that could possibly break, and water would default back to the 400 gallon section if the power fails.

The sump and pond would be on the same level and bog would have a check valve to keep it from draining below. I may not need a pipe for the return of the sediment... perhaps just a hole or slit at the side near the base of the return sump.
There would a removable plank deck over the sump area for easy cleaning access and I could put a deck chair and and an ice bucket on deck, or maybe lay on it and get some sun.

I like your plan, it sounds pretty good
by the way,
I have known people that did ponds for a living,
they said fastest way to dig a pond is to use a rototiller to break up the soil and then shovel it out by hand
said it was faster than heavy equipment use
but that only helps you if you have a tiller

Well, I didn't make it. I am still officially a smoker. :(

Still going to try again because I really can't afford to smoke.
thought about growing your own ?
it is super low price and likely annoying enough to get you to quit.
(I tried this with sugar and have yet to harvest any sugar.)

I had to switch to american club light pipe tobacco, bagged tobacco, american club, 6oz, loose tobacco, light i pay like $9.00 for the 6 0z bag and 3 books of bugler papers and it will last me a little over 2 weeks. I thought having to roll them would slow me down and make me quit and the taste too. but i still smoke. And not to mention Okla recently passed Medical marijuana.
