I would never worry about Steinberg. My Mom used to have a favorite saying... “He could step in a bucket of shit and come up smelling like a rose.” Steinberg is one of those types.

Wow. I felt like reputation-wise he had been utterly depantsed. I am surprised he is even attempting to resurface.
Back in late 2008 I ordered one of his books, Interdimensional Universe. I can still recall reading along and early in the book in the midst of otherwise plausible content he had a sentence talking about portals to other dimensions or the like, just dropped in there casually the way I might say "Oh when it gets below 32F, as you know, water will freeze." or etc. This bugged me. I've been listening to The Mothman Prophecies on audiobook this October and John Keel will occasionally do something similar, drop in a bit of far flung conjecture as fact, but I've resigned myself to it in the case of that book. The Imbrogno book, I did not finish.
I am intrigued to see the form he takes in his return.

When Imbrogno re-enters the UFO field he will undoubtedly cherry pick the interviewers he wishes to talk to. Mainly the ones who will give him the minimum amount of grief. I’m sure he will be lying through his teeth, much like Steinberg. Cyberbullies are/were out to get him, something like that explanation.

And I am sure he could demand his image be removed rendering everything unsellable. to bad! public domain non copyright image.

My guess is he'd need an actual lawyer if he really wanted for Gene to stop plastering his cartoon likeness on Round Ornaments etc. Otherwise there would probably just be lots of excuses as to how a replacement image is coming any day now.

I disagree. It is a long running fraud and spam campaign. The more the UFO field tolerates these kind of pathetic huxters the more it hurts its credibility as a whole. Also I think the fact that he continues to lie about his involvement with the BIL and smearing the victims makes it very relevant.

A thought is some may just not want to go back on something they said they'd do. IMHO understanding the problems with Steinberg take some reading - those UFO Trail blog posts for example, that's not something easily summed up in a quick YouTube video or the like. And then I agree with, sorry I forget but, whoever it was that said Gene probably preps his guests at this point that they might get harassed or contacted by his "online pack of haters and trolls" etc.

That's quite possible. It's also true that most conmen are good at manipulating people. Gene loves to do his "poor pitiful old man routine" - I suspect it has worked on almost all of us at some point and it is easier to believe that than the fact that he is a lifelong grifter - unless you take the time to dig into his history.

Most guests don’t want to hear the truth. A simple search on “Steinberg and money” will tell you all you need to to know. Tell them to go to the UFO Trail, but I bet they wouldn’t bother. All these people are interested in is selling their merchandise. This won’t be too popular, but I call them UFO whores.
