This is the eviction order for Gene from the luxury desert Marage apartments.
Thanks to SGRC for archiving this.
this document shows he owed 3394.00
why is this so important?
well a studio loft cost 1100 a month.
gene moved in on April 14th.
April may June (evicted)
3300.
next a 25 dollar late fee.per month.
3375
taxes or fees to have a dog account for the rest.
so Gene lived in luxury for 3 months..
free.

I think it's been about 6 months since Gene announced he was going to sell the Tech Night Owl radio show and website/forum. It can be assumed if he was offered any real money they would be have been sold. So either he got no offers or was only offered what they are worth, next to nothing.

Steinberg probably has it in his thick skull that the Paracast and the Tech Night Owl shows are worth six figures a piece. In truth, both shows are only worth a handful of dollars at best. Thus, he will sit there hoping some fool will come along and offer him a pot of gold. That will never happen in this lifetime. Both programs are tainted by the Steinberg stench.

Here's a screen shot before it disappears from the Lazar thread, does he mean he cannot reply to Randall or cannot quote anyone?...

He’s a real scumbag leech isn’t he - but maybe now the chickens are finally coming home to roost? Well whatever, he’s definitely running out of road.
I did a brief scan/listen to the last episode and it’s was the now usual garbage which does nothing for advancing this subject. A nice enough “old timer” guest - but after talking at length about his divorce it was just so much blah, blah, blah about, the “good old days”, old and cold “cases” interspersed with hyper-speculations and well-worn pseudo theories, Gene’s usual film/super hero references and Randall’s pontifications on “consciousness” ... it’s just become a sort of mutual masterbation society.
As an aside - at times I thought that Gene sounded quite unwell - some breathlessness, signs of resignation and slurring of speech. Randall conversely was doing his best “eager as a springer spaniel” impersonation - and trying desperately to string the whole sad sorry sack of a show out.
An absolute contrast to some of the early archive shows with David Biedny hosting - now they were truly exciting and refreshing. And the sparsity/relative bearibility of ads - excepting of course “Haemorrhoids”

That's a very kind compliment. Thank you.

Based on your comments above, I've got the latest episode on in the background.

DREADFUL MOOSE VOMIT. Steinberg has obviously completely checked out, he vanishes and only reappears when it's time to interrupt for commercials, or when the topic of episodic television comes up, it's crystal clear that Gene spends inordinate amounts of time watching shitty television, it's the only thing he seems to have any contemporary knowledge of, besides the lame stories of his peripheral experience with long-deceased UFO personalities. Oh, look, there's a Day The Earth Stood Still reference, OH JUST KILL ME NOW. Now he's blathering on about all that money he used to make writing (too bad he didn't invest or save any of it). It's time only way he will join the conversation - he's got nothing useful to add, absolutely zero. so he repeats the same lame stories over and over and over, it was old a decade ago, now it's just pathetically decrepit. As to his cohort (who is obviously a virgin, living with his mother, how old is this loser?), with socialization problems and the personality of a used toilet paper roll, what more can I say? OK, I've heard enough of this shit, time to make some important phone calls. Christ on a crackhead.

Hey David - kindness has nothing to do with it, they were truly exciting times - cutting edge. In those days I just couldn’t wait for Sunday to roll around for my Paracast fix - usually listened to several times. I was an AngryHuman fan too.
Best wishes :)

Well I think if you spend most of your day locked in a motel room, sat on your arse with no exercise or sunlight, manning your dead forum and watching streaming TV it can't be healthy.

Add in the fact that he only ever eats restaurant food (which is generally very rich - it is meant to be a treat not something you eat for every meal) he is just asking for trouble.

He is lucky to just have hypertension and I wouldn't be surprised if he soon ends up diabetic.

I also think there is a strong possibility that he has some kind of substance abuse problem.

If some of that money is going up his nose or being turned into alcohol or opiates it would not be a surprise and would contribute to how the money vanishes so quickly - as well as his poor judgement and erratic behaviour.

Funnily enough, during that podcast, he did mention that he was very straight laced when he was younger with respect to drugs ..... but he hinted that that in later life he learnt "the error of his ways" so to speak ;)

But seriously I did percieve a subtle but marked change in him over the last few podcasts.

Oh, look, there's a Day The Earth Stood Still reference, OH JUST KILL ME NOW.

I wonder if there has ever been an episode where Gene didn't mention "The Day the Earth Stood Still with Michael Rennie"? It's like he absolutely must mention it in every single episode - perhaps he gets some kind of royalty for saying the words!

Bad enough that he only has 3 subjects he talks about but he not only talks about the same subjects but says almost exactly the same thing every time and it is really weird. If he hadn't been doing it for the best part of ten years I would think it was due to dementia but the fact that it is consistent proves otherwise.

How in hell does he not realise that it is beyond the point of being boring to being outright annoying?

I can imagine he never got invited to any parties because he is the most irritating bore in history. In all the time I listened to the Paracast (mainly during the Biedny years) I never ever heard him make a useful or interesting contribution to the conversation.

It was always the same garbage and the exact same anecdotes about people he knew in the old ufology scene/the adventures of young Schemey, TV shows he is watching, who played who in which superhero show/movie (like he spends all day revising IMDB) and of course The Day the Earth Stood Still.

It also seemed to get worse once DB left and Chris became the cohost. It seems that once David left he felt he had carte blanche to bring his boring blather level up to 11.

Turdboy is still searching for an "affordable apartment" (anything is affordable if you don't pay) and fighting "those lingering bills" in today's installment:

Mid-March Update!
Hello,

If you’d rather not read anything about my personal financial woes, please delete the message. You may also Unsubscribe via the link at the bottom.

So here’s where it stands:

I’m hoping to put together enough money to pay for a move-in, so I’ve resumed searching for an affordable apartment.

But I can’t just apply to several units at once. Application fees in Arizona are usually $50 per person, and they also require a $100-250 deposit/admin fee to hold the apartment. If you’re not approved, the deposit will be returned; they keep the application fees.

This process can get costly if you’re not approved on the very first try. If you’ve gone through this process, you’ll know what I mean.

In the meantime, motel rates are at their highest and I’m still struggling pay the front office to continue to stay here.

And there are those lingering bills.

Can you help me today?
