So decided to try and listen to the bit on this week's podcast where they are being critical about the money making aspects of Tom Delonge's organisation and their IPO. Painful as it is there is this gem:

Lol if Delonge came on the show the first thing Gene would do would be to hit him up for money.
Also the only reason Steinberk does the show is to make money and not in an honest manner but through fraudulent begging, so this whole discussion is ridiculous.
He may not view it like a conventional business but that's because Gene doesn't have a clue how to run a real business.
All he knows are scams so he merely uses the part which would be a business for any sensible person as a means to find more victims of his long con.
At least Delonge was getting money for shares in his company. He wasn't begging people for fake emergencies. Of course neither RPJ nor Mr Slave (Randall) point any of this out. They are too busy agreeing with him. Indeed Mr Slave just seems to parrot everything thing that Lord Gene says.
Gene also later says something about raising money through donations and how people don't like it - it's very controversial.
Sadly by that time I didn't have the energy to listen back and fully transcribe it but he seemed to be implying that his fraudulent and never ending begging is in some way comparable to people taking legitimate and transparent donations through something like Patreon.
He ends by saying something like it's controversial but it's fine as long as it's legal.
The thing is Gene it is not effing legal if you are raising money by making up a fake emergency or a fake charitable cause. That is called fraud and people have gone to jail for it.
The only reason you haven't is because you are such a pathetic loser that you haven't surfaced above the tiny niche of Ufology and nobody who is still alive listens to your tech show.

I asked a friend about Gene's money situation. They made a suggestion that maybe Gene's S.S. checks are being levied or garnishment. Gene has some judgements so can a S.S check be garnished?

I don't think so. The whole point of bankruptcy is that your debts are quashed and you don't have to repay them. If there is some money going to pay debts those will have to be new ones he has taken out since the bankruptcy in 2016. We know he still has the car so he obviously has to pay the lease on that (it couldn't have been discharged as part of the bankruptcy because the car was new and the loan company would have just taken it back).

If Steinberg and his wife are on Medicare, they would have the option to have funds removed from their Social Security checks. That would be the smart move to make sure they had health care, but Steinberg rarely does the smart thing.

Gene is the host of a paranormal podcast.
the whole money situation is that he begs his listeners forum members and guest for cash. this in spite of a income from social security and uber.
he also gets ad revenue. Gene has used lies fraud and deceit he preyed upon symphony. Gene took advantage of my wife's and my kindness. Gene is the brother in law of a felon. I will leave more education to orjers.

Well there we go. One productive day of Uber driving will more than pay for a night at the motel.
If he would drive in earnest, between that, the Social Security benefits and whatever he gets from podcasting, he shouldn’t need to wheedle money out of others.
But of course he will never change. And is somehow always down to his last dollar, at least according to his emails.

Also one of the reasons that Gene's various frauds are so irritating is that his show (the Paracast) was famous for calling out hucksters and conmen in the paranormal/ufology world - all while he has been fraudulently begging in the background with false crises. On Saturday he sent me 6 begging messages in a day.
Not only that but he clearly lives beyond his means buying new cars and the like while claiming poverty for the last 12 years. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of budgeting and frankly he doesn't seem to care he just wants money.
The BIL went to jail for conning vulnerable elderly people and Gene seems to deny that to this day. According to him it was just money trouble but then Gene was intimately involved in the company that the BIL used to scam those people and so may prefer to pretend that no crime was involved. Gene also went around slandering one particular lady who lost $200K to the scam (and he still does call her a vengeful woman) when all she wanted was her money back. When the BIL got out of jail Gene brought him on the show, pretended they weren't related and made him out to be an expert in order to create a 2 hour long advertorial for his new gold scam - which I think Gene was also involved in.
There is really a lot to this so if you are interested I would suggest reading Jack Brewer's excellent summary here. I strongly suspect he is at least a sociopath with zero conscience.
