Looks like Schemey is $350 short of that new fully loaded Ipad Pro that he wants. He is so close and he is going to be working extra hard this weekend by begging and scheming for at least 30 minutes. Can you help:

The Weekend Struggle!
Hello,

I’m going to be working hard this weekend to raise cash flow.

But I need an extra $350 or so to make it through the early part of next week.

From the motel to the storage facility, the need is urgent.

Can you help provide at least some of the money that I need?

Here’s how you can help:

The best way is via PayPal. Please go to: Send Money, Pay Online or Set Up a Merchant Account - PayPal, login and use the Send to friends and family option. Enter my email address, gene@technightowl.com, and click or tap Next to continue the transaction.

If you want to send a payment via a different method, please write and I’ll work out the details with you.

If you’re not able to send a donation, feel free to forward this message to someone who might assist.

Another way to help is to become a subscriber to The Paracast+. Please visit Introducing The Paracast+ | The Paracast — The Gold Standard of Paranormal Radio for more details.

Thanks for whatever you can do to help out.

If you have any questions about my living situation, please let me know.

Peace,
Gene

Anybody with $267,524.69 laying around, time to step up to the plate.a0009

If I had that amount of money to give away I would give it to a genuine good cause. If someone held me at gunpoint and forced me to give it away to bad causes, even then I would send it anywhere other than Gene - abandoned turd polishing fund, free false teeth for pigs that have great teeth, new wacky performance art installation that self combusts at the end - all way better causes than Gene.

We're at 200 pages now in this thread and no signs of any issues with loading or functionality...It's asinine to split up threads like Gene does, what a moron...

There are so many people worthy of our generosity. Steinberg does not show up on the first 100 pages of that list. He fails to realize he is quite capable of taking care of himself. It’s called “work” Steinberg. Try it sometime. It’s better than sitting on your dead ass 24/7 deleting members from the Paracast who disagree with you.

I doubt he has ever worked a single day in his life. I get the impression he is one of those people who has always coasted along on other people's effort. Almost every workplace I have worked at has one of those people at some point and it can be difficult to get rid of them.

Steinberg comes from the Jim Moseley school of thought. Moseley inherited money from his rich parents. He never worked a day in his life. I’m sure his buddy Steinberg saw that and tried to imitate him. Unfortunately, Steinberg has been an utter failure throughout his sad life. I doubt very few will praise him ever.

So I had to Google Corey Goode to understand the reference.

WOW

Gene's claims are just as outlandish as Corey Goode's the only difference is Goode has more imagination and brings in a sci-fi element which hooks his moronic cult of followers. In exchange all Gene can provide is the saga of Anders blinking in and out of existence, and the unbelievable story of how this (fictional) web developer can't change the look of his website landing page and set up a webstore after months even though someone with minimal knowledge could do it in a couple of hours. At least Goode puts some effort into the fictions which make up his con and tries to give people a good story. Gene merely gives us the mundane possibly because the part of his brain responsible for imagination doesn't work.

I think this comment from the UFOtrail provides a good explanation of why someone who knows nothing about tech like Gene puts himself forward as a tech guru and does a rambling incoherent podcast about tech news. It is simply because Gene wants to wrangle free stuff out of Apple and other tech companies:

This still amazes me. What kind of fanboy didn't know about Apple paying a huge inflated price for the leading brand of overpriced headphones? I just looked, and the three billion dollar acquisition is still the biggest purchase Apple has ever made. This is the same doofus who loves to prattle on about all the lawsuits Apple is involved in and other such useless trivia. I don't give a shit about Apple or its products, or what mediocre headphones suburban kids hound their parents into spending hundreds of dollars on, but I knew about it.

Is Gene still using AOL?

Not only that but this is a guy who does a podcast. You would expect him to know something about headphones at least. Beats headphones are overpriced trash.

As someone who appreciates sound quality I can say that you can get better sounding headphones for sometimes a tenth of the price (depending on how expensive you go in their range) from more legitimate audio focused companies (Grado, Sennheiser etc). Even the best value ones sound worse than headphones from reputable companies for half the price. There was even a dissection in one of the tech magazines about how Beats are specifically engineered to look and feel good (with extra metal weights added to give the impression of quality components) while skimping on the actual headphone parts which would improve sound quality. They were basically selling the kind of headphone you can buy elsewhere for about $10-20 for something like $120.

This is ridiculous and Apple should have known better. Why they didn't buy a good headphone company like Grado is beyond me, but anyway seems Gene can't tell the difference between good headphones and bad ones (apparently his old ones were Grados).

It's just proof to me that Apple fanboys will buy any shit that Apple tells them to buy. Also before Apple fanboys say I'm an Apple hater, I actually buy a lot of Apple stuff. I just don't drink the Kool Aid.

Well not only that but Gene wrote for Stereo Review back in the '90s, and made a great pest of himself on rec.audio.opinion on Usenet. You'd think he'd have some idea of or interest in where things are at in the audio world even now. Apparently not.

I like my Sennheisers. They weren't expensive; they just sound great. I tried some Beats one time in a store, just to see what the fuss was about. The bloated, boomy lows and the missing mids were pretty much an instant turnoff. I think I ended up with a $50 pair of Koss on that trip. They still work and I still like them.

Apple seemed to be acting like one of their target customers when they shelled out for Beats. It is said that they wanted Beats Music or whatever it was called, but it's pretty obvious they were after the perceived connections to "cool" people. Just like a Beats headphone buyer. If it's the jacked up bass you want, then there are plenty of places to get that for a fraction of the price, as GB says above.

How could Steinberg know about audio equipment when he can’t afford any of it? He tends to comment on computers and smartphones when he can somehow browbeat someone into giving him a long term loaner. I can’t imagine Apple is waiting for a glowing review from Gene Steinberg.

Not being able to afford something has not stopped him from buying it. It just needs to be something which he likes but does not really need and he will take out a loan, or beg or steal in order to get the money for it.
