I don't think that he would know himself.
The weird thing is how he keeps getting people to give him any kind of credit agreement. He has judgements against him going back to at least the 1990s - and that is just in the public records people have found. He has so many judgements against him and failures to pay that he probably holds some kind of record for the state of Arizona.
I've come across a few people like him who just behave like any kind of credit is free money, most of them are young and grow up and start taking it seriously after a couple of credit problems - they learn from their early mistakes.
The people I've come across who keep routinely doing it basically end up blacklisted by their credit scores and the vast legal judgments against them. This is what normally happens and although it makes life harder for them, it is the only way to stop them behaving completely irresponsibly.
They often have some kind of secondary problem like a drug, alcohol or gambling addiction and once their credit is cut off it actually can have a positive effect in reducing their access to whatever they are abusing.
Obviously it doesn't always work, some people just turn to criminality but either way the credit is cut off and they are basically barred for life.
Steinberg is the only one I've come across who has been doing it for at least 25 years and still manages to somehow get new credit for loans, credit cards etc. It makes absolutely no sense.
I know it has been suggested that he uses some kind of identity fraud but at some point he would get caught for doing that - especially nowadays with all the information that is collected and collated on everyone online.
I really don't get it. I really will not be surprised if he does get another apartment (a higher end one because that is what Schemey does) but the mystery is how he passes any kind of background credit check to do it.

Er, so you manage to mysteriously pay to stay in a motel every day just in time even though you admit yourself it is more expensive, YET you couldn't pay your apartment rent? How can you not see how nonsensical your own statements are?
What bed? You always rent. You don't have a bed of your own and you never will.
If you did receive any such stories (which I doubt but let's say you did) I presume they were meant to shame you into realising that your garbage shenanigans divert money from people who genuinely need help. Further your lies put people off donating to charities altogether because they become suspicious of anyone needing help.
If you felt anyone else's pain even slightly you would quit your bullshit and renounce all your scams - but we know better, the only person you feel anything for is you. The only pain you experience is when you can't get the latest toy you need or if anyone calls you out on your lies.
Get what life back? This is how you live and it is by your choice - it has never been any different. Get a real job instead of conning people and you maybe have a chance of a normal life - we know you won't do that though, so it is never going to happen.
Your share - are you f***ing kidding? Your share is all of it, you miserable freeloader.
Also I don't believe for a minute you are doing any driving to raise money for yourself it is just another lie so you can give the impression you are trying to make things better.

guys, please, this really isn’t serious science/research is it? Really.. just hearsay, supposition and blah, blah - unfortunately what most of the ufo/paranormal field has reverted to.
I’ve been a listener since the beginning of Paracast - and been interested in the field on an off for 50 years pretty much in synch with Jacque Vallee’s on/off interest/exhasperation.
I think it’s time once more to call it a day in this field which has really gone nowhere fast and has just ended up recycling the same old old tired cases. Maybe the Trickster has prevailed after all?

But as he says, "In the meantime", just what is going on here:

Within a few hours or few minutes? I don't get this at all. Is he trying to say cash is genuinely that tight, that he doesn't have enough money to pay for the motel, but then something - what, a donation, a Paracast+ subscription or an Uber fare - saves the day...? And sometimes within minutes?
On the one hand it seems plausible enough to me he is spending his money in ways that are not prioritizing the motel bill. But on the other hand this idea that he keeps getting saved within minutes of not being able to pay, I don't buy it.
Or if it's true, good grief, and what a headache he must be to have at your motel. And what a nightmare of stress he has made for himself.
Additional thoughts:
First, I've seen many say he's already homeless, and I agree.
Next, if money is as tight as he portrays it here, how is it remotely possible he'll ever have the wherewithal to rent an apartment again? That seems genuinely impossible, unless he's expecting some lump sum payment from God knows what. But, how could he be thinking he'll sleep in his own bed again unless he imagines he can both pay his storage bill and get a new apartment? My own view, he's got to be lying about some things in all this. It just doesn't add up otherwise.
Finally, I don't know why I care since I'll never give him a dime. Other than, he is a thing to marvel at, and his dishonesty ticks me off. And there is something about his situation where his tone makes it seem like some big change is imminent, yet never comes. His Rockoids books may be awful but somewhere in him is the spirit of a great writer of cliffhangers. I keep tuning in, day after day.

Gene: You are not a ward of your email lists. You're a grown ass man who needs to take care of himself. If as your emails portray you cannot take care of yourself, embrace our society's safety net, such as it is.
Your welfare is not your listener's responsibility, certainly not with zero accountability, zero transparency, and a history of begging and burning people on loans that goes back at least a dozen years.

I received this morning's solicitation three times, the personal list, the Paracast newsletter, and Tech Night Owl newsletter. Has this happened to any of you?

Yes it has happened to me.
He adds and removes people to and from lists according to his own whims. I suspect if you asked him he will say it is a bug or a glitch. The simple fact is you can never permanently be removed from his newsletters and you will likely get added to new lists when he feels like it.
I now get each message twice sometimes three times. It's ridiculous. Even he can't be stupid enough to not realise that he is sending the same message to the same people repeatedly.
He just doesn't care because he thinks if it even raises the chance of him getting a donation by 0.0000001% it is worth the cost of annoying everyone.
Of course all it does is further minimise the near zero chance of anyone donating.

Which just shows how stupid he is. He doesn't seem to get that the more he sends these messages out the less credible it becomes and not only that it is going to be online forever - it will actually harm him directly. He has destroyed any chance that he could ever make money with the Paracast and eventually he will destroy any chance of getting even a low wage, low skilled job (but that may be deliberate).

Given where the interest in Gene Steinberg is these days, I think it's time for him to start a new podcast just focused on the day to day Gene Steinberg experience and (as he puts it in his emails) his "financial situation". He's a much more confounding enigma than UFOs.

No big deal if so, according to Gene himself:
"The household furniture is sparse and old; it was purchased shortly after my wife and I got married 40 years ago. Since then, we’ve spent $100 for a do-it-yourself chest. Odd one would need a storage space given how sparse and outdated all their furniture is.

Right now I think the only thing that might force Gene to change is if he genuinely ends up on the street. A sharp shock like that might encourage him to change his ways. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen. He will always "magically" find the money to pay the motel.

I suspect he will be looking for a long time. Since the last departure of people the only people that really use the forum are Gene and Randall. I doubt Randall is a gamer and Gene probably doesn't even know what video games are.
The knowledge required to install a playstation game would be too much for Schemey. He still hasn't figured out money yet and we have had that for at least 5000 years. Those Beats headphones bamboozled him because they didn't mark Left/Right clearly. Twitter confuses him (even though my gran used to use it without problems and she was a few years older than him). He also gets confused by Skype another thing which most elderly people who are not technologically literate can use. He is the only "tech expert" who can't use even the most basic technology and is so lazy that he won't take the time to learn.
