With all this Corona nonsense going on, I am glad I have a good stock of alcoholic (Whisky) beverages put away for just such a dilemma.
I'm slightly hungover today, feel good but groggy and well, you all know what a hangover feels like lol...Unexpectedly a friend stopped by around 8pm last night with a bottle of Knob Creek 12 and drinking munchies, several hours later after much talk and music playing there wasn't very much of that bottle left...Haven't done that in a while lol...We were outside on my back deck, it was a beautiful evening yesterday... ...
A friend stopped by earlier and gave me a bottle of bourbon for my birthday, which isn't for two days yet, however I haven't had Knob Creek in a little while so I opened it and had a swig...Yum!
Taking the rest of the day off, about to eat some lunch, a light lunch, then may open this bottle of bourbon again for a couple drinks... ...
Crown Royal has a bitter after taste, at least to me, however with this vanilla flavour it's much smoother, and I really like vanilla anyway so its a win win for me lol... ...
Keeping in mind it's a temporary shift in consciousness and in comparing this image with the original, that's how much of a shift thus far lol...
I have not tasted Bourbon since last February. This is the time of year that I usually buy a bottle. I am thinking Knob Creek 9 Year to be a sufficient choice...
Sipping 200 ml of Evan Williams neat from a glass and watching movies is one of my favorite things to do when I have the house all to myself.
Well now, with three outstanding recommendations, I'll have to get a bottle to try for the first time... ...
Finally bought a bottle of Knob Creek 9 Year. I don't remember it having so much of a cinnamon flavor, but I like it.
Been a while since I have been around but saw the bourbon thread ....my current favorite for the last few years has been Blanton's for sipping but all those mentioned above are good and I have tried most over the years. I also like Basil Hadyn, Trace, Knob Creek, Woodford, etc. Also drink Hotel Tango from Indiana since I have a family/friend connection to their craft distillery. Cheers......
Blantons is probably my favorite, if I can find it at retail... but I haven't even seen any at stores.
