The 1971 movie is iconic amazing and fun
The tim Burton movie failed at all levels. Now
A new willy Wonka. And it's good!
It does not hold a candle to the 1971 movie but it's good on its own terms.
The songs were decent. The story was good. And effects were good . My kids enjoyed it even Samantha who is fussy about movies .
The 1971 movie can never be equal to any other. But enjoyable fare.

This is the end ..in a year filled with the worst superhero movies ever. Comes this turkey .
I held "batman and robin " to be the worst superhero movie ever. Well this and marvels are a tie for number 2.;

On a scale of 1-10 this gets Kirk Douglas, who doesn't need a rating. Damned good movie. For 1957 you'd swear you're looking at Private Ryan in spots. An excellent look at venal, grasping privileged 1 percenters likely not far from the truth. You think WW1 French movie? Doesn't matter, you get wrapped up in it right away

This was $6 - finally the right price. I had heard so many bad things about it I was really surprised at the opening sequence. They must've had Harrison Ford (or a perfect double) actually do the scenes and then CGI the age away. His voice is still an 80+ year old man but the CGI is really good - maybe worth it just for that. The thing could use more editing and could've actually been a pretty good movie. It's not great but if you were stuck on an airplane with it there are worse things that could happen. I'll give is a 5/10 just because ..... Jones ........

You get this .. it's not scary it has what passes as jump scares. A plot straight from the blender .. not a good movie.. a sure sign of trouble was Ian and anna were more interested in eash other than the movie. Avoid..

A surprise last night from a random pick. From 2021, what appears to be a no-name low budget film that I'd give high marks to. Maybe an 8/10 ? I'm not good at the rating thing. Watch the movie, it's short and very clever. There are some ufological canon nods in there that were funny. I think what makes it is the main character - Blake Boyd has an odd presence that made the character almost believable. Certainly he doesn't seem to fit in 2021.

We liked it quite a bit. No hype, just fun.

It was Chris turn to watch a silent movie for a class. We chose fritz lang metropolis. First off it's a long movie almost 3 hours. The special effects were amazing for 1927. The robot was 3CPOs grandma. It's a worker vs management story. Many paranormal symbols around. Pentacles the all seeing eye. And other mason symbols. . The love story is barley there with the main female lead doing double duty as the good maria and the evil robot disguised as her
It's an easy film to watch. And the score is magnificent.
i sum up the movie in one word iconic!

Highly recommended. And Chris loved it.

Batman and Robin and Catwoman movies so bad it's legendary. Add to this list madam web. A movie so incredibly bad so painful to watch. This is a waste of time and money .
