we had 89% coverage here in Chicago, it was cloudy but was able to see it when some clouds broke up. It was worth it for me, you don't see that everyday when your own eyes. Six years till the next oneI was planning to travel to South Carolina to be in the path and see it fully but with all the conjestion and crowds I'm just fine with staying home and viewing it which I'm just two hours from the South Carolina border anyway lol...
At home I'll be able to view about 80% or so which is fine with me...

Once it was already ending it got clear so i got a pretty good view then. It was still pretty amazing. Im going to keep my glasses to try to spot Sun Spots lolAs I was reading some news on the event, I saw a chart showing I was in the 90% range, it was partly cloudy here but clear enough to see it without obstruction...

Sounds fantastic..... lucky you, though over a decade ago I travelled inland to the desert to see a solar eclipse and it was well worth the trouble...Beautiful images, some of the best I've seen...
That's a fantastic page..... I have it bookmarked on Moon Phases in my location and use it every month for the Full Moon time calculation so I know when to get ready to start howling...look up YOUR next solar and lunar eclipse here

No reports of prowling packs of the possessed so far. Good!
