Possibly, but I think a new type generation of solid state drives will emerge that's affordable and reliable...

Cloud is big but there's also a lot of people like myself who thinks you compromise way too much security for convenience...Our technology isn't there yet to securely support centralized digital storage...I never liked clouds personally, but others love it...

I have to use a cloud at work but it's all work related material...I can see the benefit of convenience for corporations...

DAD LOOK! I rushed over to see Chris my youngest son had finished metroid on the NES classic. "samus is a Girl! it's so cool! she is like my sisters so badass!" I was so impressed with his assessment of his sisters I did not punish him for the naughty word!

Monday morning..I find Chris's homework sitting on his bed. it is not touched ... I then remembered him playing on his NES classic last night..
I called the school. then removed the NES. he will have a not so nice surprise waiting when he returns home. .

I got really busy in the workshop yesterday, first I was all focused on my project and could not find some capacitors I needed...I had over 14 of them somewhere, which started me into an organization mode of all my electrical parts, 5 hours later, found those capacitors and have reclaimed many things I forgot I had lol...

Yesterday i went picked out a new gas range($750 on sale for $550)Black friday lowes till the 11/5 . the house had a gas double wall oven and a cook top that was new in the 70`s.OMG right. it`s out and gone, ready for the range, think i will put the cabinet for the wall oven back and use it for the microwave and a shelf. I sure wish i could`ve just went back with a wall oven and cook top but just the cook top is as much as a range and the cheapest wall oven i found was sketchy at $8-900. At least i got the gas line all wrapped up on a good day before cold sets in. i shouldve took a pic of the confuluted way they had it hooked up.lol

Yeah, my industry vanished in a puff of technical smoke for many reasons but broadband services was the biggest.
Had a Contact Center app running at a GE site. Maybe 150 agents and supervisors - people were hired & fired based on the metrics it constantly pooped out. It was the Subject of Big Meetings, Concern and manager's bonuses depended on the damned thing. That last point alone raises some interesting behavior worthy of deep study by someone who gives a crap. And then one day the server was in my garage and I was stripping it for parts like a Jawa.

What's new is old soon enough - just seems like that curve is hyperbolic anymore.

What a fine mess we have here on planet earth, it's really astonishing we as a species have made it this far in our short history on this planet...

last night we learned kate had survived the final cut for girls basketball . The coaches made it clear she needs to do well or she would see little floor time.
her skill set was "average" and so she is a bench player.
Meanwhile Chris got a strong message.
His SCA mentor told him "a knight does not forget his schooling. Should you forsake it again you will not be my squire."
that along with what Rikki and I have done. will insure he no longer puts his homework aside.

We're supposed to get down into the low 20's next week, which is very unusual for November. Not looking forward to it! :ohmy8::ohmy8::ohmy8::ohmy8::ohmy8:
