What are you up to, guys? I have just received my parcel full of Japanese and other kinds of tea! I am drinking one of them now! It's a pure meditation
Do you like tea?

I love a good cup of tea...

Cool! Are you a paramedic?
Yes, you have to renew your certificate every two years

Not a paramedic but the company I work for had 8 people to be trained, I was one of those eight...

Oh I see... then I hope you will never have to use it :) as it is very complicated and even certified people make mistakes but it's better than nothing

Hope I never have to use it either...One lady played with her hair and phone during the training, I hope she never has to use it, she didn't pay much attention...

I know what you mean. Unfortunately even firemen sometimes make fatal mistakes though they are well trained. But as I've said already: it's better than nothing. I wonder how this lady passed her test if she was not paying attention.I suppose your training was not very strict

I'm not sure if she will get her certification card, I may have to say something if she does get it...

Not a paramedic but the corporation I work for as a supervisor required 8 people to be trained, I was one of those eight...

Does your company have defibrilators? I would feel really uncomfortable if I had to shock someone.

I work with a woman who used to be an EMS technician. One day at lunch she was telling everyone in the break room about some of the situations she had seen. Me and the other people in the room (and yes all 3 of us were big strong strapping men) admitted we would have a hard time dealing with all the blood and whatnot if we had to do that job.

Curiously, about 2 weeks later she came running out of her office screaming. We all thought there had been an office shooting or something. It turned out she had seen a tiny cockroach.

People like talking. It's not that they are lying but doctors and paramedics who have been through very serious situations , if they work long enough and are experienced, hate talking about their job.But medical students and others... oh yes, you'll hear some stories

It's not about being a strong strapping man, it does not depend on it. There are many videos on youtube where you can see military men faint if their blood is drawn or they get a shot. I am pretty sure they could easily shoot anyone if they had to though :)

Yes I was trained using that too as we have them in the building...I think if I had to do CPR or use the defibrillator on someone I would do it fine, even the sight of someone's blood wouldn't bother me...We must contain any accident quickly and safely and avoid any contamination...
