I'm involved locally with a couple of Food and Meal distribution organisations... Basically it's surplus groceries and vegetables which the big supermarkets haven't sold and are nearing their use by date.... They are given to charity organisations like the ones I'm involved in and then it gets distributed (no questions asked) to homeless, low income, strugglers, mentally challenged and down and out people, anyone really who feels they need a bit of extra help. Once a week on a Sunday, meals are cooked and everyone is welcome...

Over time I've made some interesting friends and often enough run into some when it town and if I do, I always stop and have a chat... I haven't been around the last month or so and only went back yesterday and today when I was in town, I ran into one woman who always gives me a smile when she sees me. She's quite young, has quite a few intellectual difficulties and tells me about her family and her troubles sometimes, I think she sees me as a mother figure...

So today I happened to run into her when I was in town and she asks me...

'Where have you been?'
Me: 'I've been busy being lazy the last month or so.'
'Oh, do you do that as a job?'

I looked at her and I realised she was being dead serious and if it had been anyone else I would have laughed and jibed at them, but it didn't seem to be fitting...

Me: 'No, I try to avoid doing that'...

... and she was happy enough with my reply...

I've been having car troubles lately, first time since owning this Lincoln LS V8, it started with the thermostat locking up closed causing overheating, fortunately I know how to work on vehicles, I fixed that late in the evening a day and half ago, now unknown at the time the overheating cracked another part, it's been slowly leaking water...

I discovered this issue last night and ordered parts before the shops closed and found out one seal I need is unavailable...I have to call the Ford dealer this morning and find out what I need to do...

At Peace.
I am staying at a Hangar Hotel. We drove into town for some tourism... and it was just a plce to stay.

I was standing on deck watching some small planes take off, when a man approached, and said- "How long is this run way?".

The guy next to us stretched his arms way out and said, "Pretty short, but look how wiiiide it is!"

I guess it is all a matter of perspective....

I always drive used cars. Can't afford new ones. Over the years, I have come to realize that vehicle problems tend to have a cascade effect. I usually just give in and get another car because parts can be either difficult to find or very expensive because you have to go through the dealership. I have never paid more than $1600 for a used car so, if I have been able to drive it around for at least 3 years, I figure I got my monies worth.

I've never bought a new car, I don't think I want to, there are too many nice used cars available...I've had this vehicle for over a year now and its been a very reliable car...I'm looking for a second vehicle before winter, looking for a 4x4 like a Jeep Wrangler, for winter driving and camping in the mountains...:)

Well I called them and they have exactly what I needed on the shelf, in fact they had two of them but I only need one lol...I had them overnight it to me FedEx, the closest Ford dealer is a 45 minute drive, my car won't make that trip until its repaired...I'll have everything I need tomorrow and it will take me a couple hours or three to do the work...

I love airports, planes... it inspires me, I see how many destinations exist and realize how many places I have not yet visited...

I love to fly, I've flown in large airliners and small prop planes, I always wanted to ride in a helicopter, never have yet...

It certainly is... When I lived in the remote desert and someone would ask how far a certain location was or how long it would take to get there the usual replies were a variation of this:

A little short way..
A little long way...
A short long time...
A long short time...

I've heard people in the local area say things like, "Be there in a little while" or "See you shortly" or "In a little bit" or "After while"...How long is that?...

.. and then there's this... When my two kids were little at about age 7 amd 8 they both bailed me up and sat me down to ask me an important question so they told me it was...

We want to know how long soon is... everytime we ask you how long before dinner or how long before we get there you always say soon...

- There are no mistakes. Only experiences to learn from.
- Use your power of choice wisely.
- Give thanks for what you have. Be grateful the universe always provides for your needs.
- Money and possessions mean nothing. Only the soul matters and how you make others feel.
- Give yourself (your soul) to others to help them heal and grow.
- Every living creature is special and should be honored and respected.
- Live with light and love in your heart. Share it.
- Others are not here to serve you. Practice acceptance, forgiveness, and kindness.
- Thrive and endure. Allow your essence to radiate in harmony with others.
- Unite your heart and mind in harmony for a greater creative expression that will help others.
- When the mind rules the heart, only ego and vanity are served.
- You are the creator of your universe. Create something beautiful!
- Events will happen when they are meant to happen.
- See the beauty in everything.
- Let go of your doubts and fears. Trust that the great I Am will guide, protect, and provide for you.
- Love sets no conditions on itself nor does it seek something in exchange for itself.
- Your life will begin to flow and be free to change once you remove the attachments that keep you stagnant.
- Nature itself is an expression of the essence of what you are. Loving Nature is loving your true self.
- Innocence is not divisive or separate from moral wrong. The past is forgotten and the future does not exist. Only the moment has importance. That is innocence.
- You can only become what you aspire to be if you can be it where you are now. Look for a way that is not a path or destination but rather the journey itself.
- Forgiving is a giving that opens the way to receiving. Forgiveness is a power that brings in light from the soul. It can remove any darkness clouding your life.
- Happiness is meant to be shared.
- Celebrate each day as if it was the only one in your existence.
- You alone have the power to make something of yourself by choosing to do so.
- Worries are imaginary fears. They do not exist unless you create them. Examples are:
• Feeling embarrassed
• Loss of income or lack of money
• Feeling alone
• Telling the truth
• Your reputation or others opinions of you
• Not following conditioned traditions
• Stepping outside of your comfort zone
• Not enough time or resources

Today's been a productive day at home, mowed the yard and pasture, repaired my car, changed oil, spark plugs, it's running great, washed and waxed and vacuumed the inside of my car...

Got some barbecue pork on the grill and sitting on the back deck drinking a Stella, its beautiful partly cloudy day...

What's in a Stella?

Stella Artois, a light coloured lager from Belgium, it's refreshing to drink one once in a while...

Just came back from a hike in the forest with my dog, he ran some deer along the way back home lol...

It was raining and cold..

I had some old milk in the fridge so i just used it to bathe with warm water + using the Spa ceylon coconut oil + jasmine soap with another lemon grass + lime shower gel.. it's feels nice.

The Spa Ceylon soap is quite expensive, it's made in Sri Lanka, I didn't want to buy it at first but because the sales guy was very charming so i just bought a few products and i got no regrets, it's a very nice soap.

This is how the product looks like..

Using milk to bathe makes the skin feels softer and somehow I find it relaxing.

Sounds great...I have a a shower, and it's so bad...can't relax in it, just stand there, and it's transparent and no curtains :spoileralert:

I wish I had a bathtub with gummy ducks and candles, just soak myself for an hour...it's a dream.
