A new poll by Fox News shows Youngkin has pulled ahead of McAullife in the Virginia governor race among likely voters by 8 points. The Dems and the local media are utterly clueless about what's happening. They're still trying to make it all about Trump and this is failing miserably. Youngkin, who was an obscure unknown in the state political arena until now, has refused to have Trump or any other big name politicians come and campaign for him. He's making it all about education and state local issues.
The Dems are throwing everything they can get hold of against the wall and nothing is sticking. The abortion issue is not gaining any traction. My significant other, who had an abortion when she was a teenager, is more outraged by McAullife's stand on education and the arrogance of the school boards. She has two grown children and several grand children.
The Fox poll showed that McAullife led among women by about 9 points just 2 weeks ago. Now the lead is down to 1 point.
Clearly, the Dems have angered and mobilized the mama bears!
I predict Republicans will take back the state house in Virginia and possibly replace the Lt Gov and Attny Gen as well. They will probably regain the majority in the House of Delegates also.

The richest are the owners, never mind the players. Each NFL team averages between $300 to $321 Million in profit per year. Who know what the revenue is. The NFL league made 12.2 Billion in 2020, and that was a Covid year. I wouldn’t weep for anyone involved in Pro Football.

He tried to make it about Trump but most voters have moved on and they're tired of hearing about the 2020 Pres Race.
He tried to make it about race but the Republican Lt Gov candidate is a black woman from Jamaica and the Republican candidate for Attny Gen is a Cuban-American.
Republican Glen Youngkin has been declared the winner in the gubernatorial race. Though counting is still going on, all the projections are saying Republican Winsome Sears has won the Lt Gov race and Republican Jason Miyares has won the Attny Gen race. It also appears Virginia Republicans have taken a one vote majority in the House of Delegates.
I hope Ciattarelli holds his lead and pulls off the upset in NJ.

McAuliffe was banging the Trump drum so loud he got confused and did exactly what Trump did - ran a sloppy campaign fueled by arrogance and lost badly. Very much like Hillary Clinton.
I saw McAuliffe's statement live last night and it sounded like he won for God's sake. Talking about all the great things that need to be done. If he had been doing any of them in the past few years he'd still the governor.

I'm a lifelong Virginia resident. When I was growing up in the 1970's and 80's the state was controlled by Democrats but it was always said that there was a big difference between a VA Dem and a national Dem. Virginia Democrats tended to be fiscally more conservative and they favored the old Jeffersonian idea of less government. The Dems in VA today are every bit as liberal as the national Dems. They want govt to be involved in every facet of a person's daily life.
