I like to test where things are from
as far as I can tell, willpower has nothing to do with your body or your DNA
willpower is part of consciousness, and no one can take it form you without your permission
as far as cloning,
I think it is pointless,
when a body wears out, you go get a new one.
as far as memories, I don't think they can be taking from you if you go looking for them. I think most people block past lives to make this current one a total immersion experience. someone I knew decided to push for memories, and it ruined him. he had done very bad things in a past life, and just could not get over it once remembered. I bet the same applies to fantastically good lives.
clone or not, I bet memory works about the same. and remember that medical science can't find memories in the brain. a few people have lost half a brain with no side effects at all (it is just the interface).
what a body had as far as in the way of likes and dislikes and the rest of the brain chemistry, seems kind of pointless to hold on to, but I guess some people might think that is a good reason to clone
