JPMorgan's Democrat donor boss Jamie Dimon admits Trump was 'right about NATO, immigration, China'... and 'he grew the economy quite well'

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warned Democrats that negative talk about MAGA supporters could hurt President Joe Biden's re-election campaign and said Trump was right about several issues. Dimon, a frequent Democrat donor, told CNBC on Wednesday that people are voting for Trump because he was right about the economy, immigration and China.

The JPMorgan boss has donated to the campaigns of several Democrats in the past, according to Federal Election Commission records. He donated $2,900 to Kyrsten Sinema in 2022, $3,300 to Jon Tester in 2023 and $3,300 to Katherine Clark in 2023. Dimon - who is often seen as a cautionary voice on Wall Street - has warned Americans to prepare for a recession this year and said the economy and how people treat each other will affect the election.

'I think this negative talk about MAGA is going to hurt Biden’s election campaign,' said Dimon.

'When people say MAGA, they’re actually looking at people voting for Trump and they think they’re voting -- and they’re basically scapegoating them, that you are like him, but I don’t think they’re voting for Trump because of his family values.

'If you look at, just take a step back, be honest. He’s [Trump] kind of right about NATO. Kind of right about immigration. He grew the economy quite well. Tax reform worked. He was right about some with China,' said Dimon.

'I don’t like how he said things about Mexico, I don’t like -- but he wasn’t wrong about some of these critical issues. And that’s why they’re voting for him. And I think people should be a little more respectful of our fellow citizens'

Dimon said, 'I wish the Democrats would think a little more carefully when they talk about MAGA.'

Last week, Dimon said rising prices, stagnant growth and huge government spending were among the factors linking the 2020s to the 1970s.

BORIS JOHNSON: The global wokerati are trembling so violently you can hear the ice tinkling in their negronis... but a Trump presidency could be just what the world needs

With the shriek of elderly beldames leaping on the piano stool after spying a mouse in their petticoats, the Western liberal intelligentsia has finally spotted the likely result of this November’s U.S. presidential elections.

The results from the Iowa Republican caucus have exploded like thunder in every high-minded meeting place, and the reaction is always the same: sheer, gibbering funk.

In the editorial conferences of fine old U.S. and UK publications, the leader writers are having hysterics.

In the cocktail parties of Davos, I am told, the global wokerati have been trembling so violently that you could hear the ice tinkling in their negronis.

In the senior common rooms of our universities, in the synod of the Church of England, in the Orwellian corridors of the BBC and among much of the UK establishment there has been a caterwauling orgy of nose-holding abhorrence.

No! they are saying. Not him — not that man again!

Fie! La! Pah! Lawks a mercy and stap me vitals!

Yes, folks, the great orange dirigible is miraculously re-inflating across the Atlantic. The pachydermous human bouncy castle is rising again. Following his sweeping victory in Iowa, Donald Trump is now the overwhelming favourite to be the

Republican nominee, and ahead in the polls to take the presidency.

The prospect has driven some people to the brink of virtue-signalling derangement.

According to The Economist: ‘Donald Trump poses the biggest threat to the world in 2024.’

Now, I love The Economist. But I wonder whether there is anyone on its staff who thinks they might be slightly over-egging it.

The biggest threat to the world? Trump?

If you look at the facts, you can actually make a case — and I may as well make it now — that a Trump presidency could be just what the world needs.

Far-left comic Michael Rapaport says voting for Trump is ‘on the table’ after seeing illegals beat NYPD

Comedian and staunch critic of former President Trump Michael Rapaport unleashed a scathing rant against New York City’s immigration problems and President Biden’s priorities this week, suggesting that if Biden doesn’t deal with the problems here at home, voting for Trump is "on the table."

Rapaport shared a video to X Friday railing against the recent news story about illegal immigrants in New York City beating up cops and then being released shortly after the altercation.

Furious at the idea that the Biden Administration has been tougher on foreign issues than domestic issues like a record migrant surge, Rapaport opened the clip by slamming his fist on a table and declaring, "This is why when I say voting for pig d--- Donald Trump is on the table, voting for pig d--- Donald Trump is on the table!"

He explained, "The other day in New York City, six illegal aliens jumped a New York City cop. NYPD’s finest. They jumped a New York City cop in Times Square and were arrested and released without bail."

11 of 13 independent voters choose 'narcissist' Trump over 'unfit' Biden in NY Times focus group

Independent voters from around the country had scathing remarks to describe President Biden in a focus group published Tuesday, with most admitting they are leaning toward former President Trump in 2024 despite their own derisive assessments of him.

The New York Times spoke with 13 undecided, independent voters at length about the two leading candidates and the issues most important to them heading into the election. The voters, ranging from 22-64 years old, were most concerned about the economy, citing the rising costs of groceries and other bills. Of 13 voters, 12 said they would base their vote on this issue, and 11 of them said they were leaning toward Trump in the election.

Others were "deeply troubled by the crisis at the southern border, and some were concerned about the Israel-Gaza war and disliked U.S. aid to other countries," The Times reported.

Outgoing Dutch PM tells Europe to stop 'whining and nagging about Trump'

Outgoing Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who is likely to be the next secretary-general of NATO, urged fellow European leaders to stop "whining" about former President Trump.

The blunt admonition comes days after the GOP 2024 front-runner suggested the U.S. should not honor its NATO commitments if European countries do not increase their defense contribution to the North Atlantic alliance. Trump's comments sparked outrage throughout Europe and provoked an immediate condemnation from President Biden's White House.

"We should stop moaning and whining and nagging about Trump," Rutte said Saturday at the Munich Security Conference.

"It's up to the Americans. I'm not an American, I cannot vote in the U.S. We have to work with whoever is on the dance floor," he added.

Rutte, who is retiring from Dutch politics in July, said that Europe should increase its defense spending and ramp up ammunition production whether or not Trump returns to the White House in 2024.

He also said it was in the continent's interests to increase support for Ukraine against Russia's invasion.

Rutte is the front-runner to succeed NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg, who will step down in October, according to Reuters. He has said he would not campaign for the job.

Stoltenberg was among those who lambasted Trump's comments this week, stating that the forme president's rhetoric "undermines" the security of its members.
