Personally, I'd like to see Iran get a direct taste of the sauce for once. But, it's their leadership not the population. I had hopes some of the uprisings would continue but they seem to have beaten and killed their way out of that. Maybe a well placed missile would solve the problem. Or a machine gun robot thing - worked well against whatzhisname.

I would really like to see US going after a corrupt right-wing dictatorship for sake of spreading "freedom".

There are many corrupt left-wing dictatorships in the world currently, also the US seems to be headed in that direction, the government is already extremely corrupt, however the US needs to stop acting as the world police...There would likely be less conflict in the world with less US meddling...I'm also not a fan of isolationism either...

Interesting we had a history of isolationism that we abandoned by necessity, twice, and you can't just turn it off. Careful what you wish for, you might get it.

'Watch out Jews, jihad is coming': FBI investigates Cornell University messaging board after vile anti-Semitic threats are made against students

The Ithaca, New York-based Ivy institution has already seen anti-Semitic graffiti on its walls and a professor forced to take a leave of absence after calling the attacks 'exhilarating' and 'energizing.' Authorities were investigating at the school's Center for Jewish Living Sunday night after revolting anti-Jewish threats were discovered online. Cornell President Martha E. Pollack wrote a letter to students where she announced she's contacted the FBI about 'a potential hate crime.'

The CCP erases Israel: Chinese tech giants Baidu and Alibaba's maps of the Middle East show Jewish state's borders - but NOT the country's name

Chinese tech giants Baidu and Alibaba no longer display the name of Israel on their maps, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday - a move they said reflected 'Beijing's vague diplomacy in the region.' The online maps show Israel's borders and cities, the paper said. But the country itself is not named - in contrast to other neighboring countries.

Social media users shared maps they said confirmed the WSJ's point. Jonathan Cheng, the WSJ's China bureau chief, tweeted: 'Chinese internet users expressed bewilderment that the name 'Israel' doesn't appear on digital maps from Baidu and Alibaba, an ambiguity that matches Beijing's vague diplomacy and contrasts with its general attentiveness to maps.'

Antisemitism is surging online in China, The New York Times reported. A Chinese state broadcaster recently hosted a discussion page on Weibo stating that Jews controlled a disproportionate amount of U.S. wealth, the paper said.

'If China felt that it was dangerous and problematic to allow antisemitic comments to flourish, the censors would stop it. Clearly, the government is conveying the message that it's tolerated,' said Carice Witte, the executive director of SIGNAL Group, an Israeli think tank focusing on China.

Russia and China on Wednesday vetoed a U.S. push for the United Nations Security Council to act on the Israel-Hamas conflict by calling for pauses in fighting to allow humanitarian aid access, the protection of civilians and a stop to arming Hamas and other militants in the Gaza Strip.

China vetoed the resolution because they wanted to call for a ceasefire - something the United States refused to do.

Israel's UN ambassador pins yellow star to chest

Israeli ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan has vowed to wear a yellow star until the UN Security Council condemns "the atrocities of Hamas" and demands the "immediate release" of hostages.

The UN Security Council has failed to pass a series of resolutions addressing the situation in Israel and Gaza because of a lack of consensus.

The Nazis made wearing the yellow Star of David badge mandatory throughout territories they occupied, dehumanising Jews by marking them out as different. Anyone found without one faced a fine, prison or death.

Today, pinning on the star is seen as a way of evoking the Holocaust.

What China wants from Israel-Hamas war

What China wants from Israel-Hamas war

As the conflict between Israel and Hamas intensifies, an unlikely development has emerged - China playing the part of peace broker. But there are limits to what it can achieve.
China's top diplomat, Wang Yi, discussed the conflict with officials in Washington at the weekend amid fears of a bigger regional war. The US has pledged it would work with China on trying to find a resolution.
Mr Wang has also spoken to his Israeli and Palestinian counterparts after China's Middle East special envoy Zhai Jun flew to the region to meet Arab leaders. It has also been one of the most vocal proponents of a ceasefire in UN meetings.
There are hopes China could tap into its close relationship with Iran, which backs Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, to de-escalate the situation. US officials apparently pressed Mr Wang to "urge calm" with the Iranians, reported the Financial Times.
China is Iran's biggest trade partner, and earlier this year Beijing brokered a rare détente between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Tehran says it "stands ready to strengthen communication with China" on resolving the situation in Gaza.
As the Chinese government has had a relatively balanced relationship with all actors in the conflict, they could be perceived as an honest broker, said Dawn Murphy, an associate professor who studies Chinese foreign policy at the National War College under the US Department of Defense.

In particular, China has positive relations with the Palestinians, Arabs, Turkey and Iran, she said. "Together with the US which has good relations with Israel, they could bring all of the players to the table."
But other observers point out that China remains a minor player in Middle East politics.
"China is not a serious actor on this issue. Talking to people around the region, nobody expects China to contribute to the solution," said Jonathan Fulton, a non-resident senior fellow with the Atlantic Council who specialises in China's relations with the Middle East.

Maybe we are going to have one war less?

If Ukraine do become willing to negotiate a truce, that would be a positive development, not least for Ukraine. However, the source of that story (which is no longer at that link) appears to be the Daily Express, which is not a real newspaper. We will have to see if it is repeated in other outlets.

Hamas killers 'roasted babies in an oven' at kibbutz where more than 100 civilians were slaughtered during October 7 terror attack, Israeli first responder claims in heartbreaking video

Asher Moskowitz, (middle) of the United Hatzalah first responder group, published a video of himself speaking to a camera, delivering his witness account. Moskowitz claims he saw the remains of a baby who had been baked to death in an oven at kibbutz Kfar Aza, where more than 100 civilians were killed. 'The sights that we saw were horrendous,' he says, explaining that he was among a group that saw corpses arriving for identification in the aftermath of the attack. Moskowitz then says that during the day, his group were told five or six trucks with many bodies from Kfar Aza were due to arrive 'that were unfortunately horribly disfigured with severe injuries, including people who were burned alive.' The chilling video testimony is the latest in a series of gruesome claims from Israel and Israelis over the barbaric actions of Hamas terrorists on October 7.

Wagner threatens to enter Israeli war: Russia's feared militia 'is plotting to give Hezbollah air-defenses' to put along Israel's border - sparking fears in the Pentagon

Wagner is sending the Hezbollah the Russian SA-22 Greyhound system, which uses surface-to-air missiles and anti-aircraft artillery to intercept aircraft, two US officials said Thursday. Hezbollah, a US-designated terror group backed by Iran, has been exchanging fire with Israeli forces across the country's northern border while Israel wages a ground and air war against Hamas in the southern enclave of Gaza. New air defense systems could escalate tensions further in the north, and Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder told the Journal that the report was 'very concerning' if true, while saying he had no information to share on the subject.

Iranian group puts up recruitment posters for suicide bombers willing to attack targets in Israel

A hard-line Iranian group has been actively recruiting potential suicide bombers for operations in Israel, images seen by MailOnline reveal.

The group responsible for this recruitment drive, Hezbollah, different from the Lebanese militant group with the same name, has initiated a campaign in the southeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, a significant place in Shia Islam.

Posters featuring calls for 'martyrdom' have appeared on the streets of Mashhad, imploring residents to submit their personal details for consideration.

These posters declare, 'It's time for Jihad,' and seek individuals to join a 'special battalion of martyr seekers for Palestine.'

One poster, shared by a Telegram channel close to the group, shows triumphant jihadists arriving at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque, one of Islam's holiest sites after the defeat of Israel while waving Iran's flag.

'Liberating' Al-Aqsa Mosque has been one of the fundamental slogans of the Islamic Republic's officials over the past four decades.

The posters called for Iranian citizens to sign up to 'martyrdom'

All that Israel is doing now is running massive and very successful recruitment campaign for the future generation of Hezbollah fighters. After this war there will be at least 10 times more new recruits and suicide bombers wanting to revenged their relatives who were killed during the Israeli bombardment. Its just circle of violence feeding on itself.

There are always two sides to anything but sometimes wrong is wrong. A pity Hamas couldn't use the social media clout they apparently have before they barbarically killed and kidnapped a bunch of innocent people. There never was any intention of that, what we are seeing now was the whole point of it.

If Israel suddenly announced they invented a free energy source and cured cancer and shared it with the world they'd still be vilified by those radical ****ing stupid-hat finger waving lunatics. The Woke Left hasn't figured out yet that there are nasty goddamned people in the world who will hurt you simply for hurt's sake and strength is what keeps that at bey. We'll be talking about that soon enough here in the US when we have our next 9/11 or 10/7 or what have you because I think it's quite likely the trigger's already been pulled and the hammer is about to fall. Regardless of the pure horseshit that will be spewed History will judge this administration accordingly. Might take a bit, but it always does.

Islam is not all Radical Islam - and I have little use for anyone's religion, if we could begone with all of it we'd be better off. For the radicals of any stripe hate is all they have - say the wrong thing and you are stoned, beheaded or maybe just have one of your eyes stabbed out. Antisemitism fuels that machine same as the Nazis.

I absolutely guarantee this insanity is also fueling right wing lunatics who are loading magazines and prepping 24/7 right now.

The Hamas billionaires who live in marble-floored mansions and luxury hotels, wear bespoke suits and travel in private jets - as they decry Gaza poverty while profiting from terrorism and misery

In the years since taking control over the coastal strip, the group's leaders have profited off the misery of the Gazan people. According to the Embassy of Israel in the US, three of Hamas's most senior leaders (Abu Marzouk, Khaled Mashal and Ismail Haniyeh) have a net worth of more than $3 billion each. The embassy also claims that Hamas's annual turnover is $1 billion and suggests the groups is second only to ISIS as the world's richest terror group. While some estimates of Hamas's wealth are more conservative, there is no question they have amassed vast amounts of wealth, with the US treasury department sanctioning Hamas's investment office, saying it held assets estimated to be worth $500 million.

All that Hamas needs to do to make tons of money is to run an extortion racket over Gaza Strip. They can control who enters and leaves, who can trade etc. etc. That's how criminals made money during siege of Sarajevo in Balkan wars.

I've just posted this on my Facebook.
