We have an unexpected storm just pop up, a severe thunderstorm too and dropped dime size to half dollar size hail for 20 minutes...It damaged the garden plants, haven't made a full assessment yet since its still raining heavy...

Sounds like it is hard gardening there.
I thought I had it bad trying to keep the deer out of my fence.

Yesterday was the first time we've had hail in about 10 years...I still haven't been out to the garden yet, we had three more pop-up storms come through back to back after the first one with hail and it got dark...I did see from my workshop window that the watermelon and beans were beat up a little...When I get off work this afternoon I'll be out in the garden...

We've had some freakish weather these past few days and it's been generally dark, drizzly and clammy. Pie's afraid of the thunder and lightning and wind and has been wrapped around me. Even when it's calm but just raining it's been hard to get her outside to do her business. That dog can hold it.

It's a billion % humidity out there, you could slice out a chunk of air and put it on the table. Rainy and stormy - a local elementary school was destroyed last night. Days of wood smoke and now this. YUCK. This must be what a tick living in someone's crotch feels like.

It's so thick I feel like I could cut a cube out the air and set it on a table. I worked for about two hours yesterday out in the driveway and thought my wife came out to give me a cold drink but it was my dead grandmother beckoning me toward the light.

Good day for the annual extension ladder - pressure wash festival. You get filthy and soaking wet anyway.

Its definitely summer now, hitting 92 degrees today and the low 90s are forecast for the high temp over the next week...Humidity has been relatively low, just full sun and I was out in that all day doing yard and garden work...I'm inside in the air conditioning cooling off now, done with the outside work for the day, I'm pooped...

it is a cool summer over here this year, only in the 90s so far and cooling off at night, lows are in the 50s, very odd for summer where I live

Up to 80MILLION people to see a month's worth of rain in just a few hours TONIGHT - including two inches per HOUR in NYC - as huge storm threatens flooding and tornadoes - leaving 1,355 flights canceled already

Millions of people are under a Flood Watch as drenching rain is set to soak the East Coast from North Carolina to northern New England just as the work week begins. It comes just two days after the East Coast was pummeled by storms, which produced mudslides in Vermont and flooding in Northern Virginia where several motorists had to be rescued after driving through flooded streets in Pentagon City. Now, more severe weather is on the way and about 80 million people from Washington to Portland, Maine, may see a month's worth of rain in just a few hours, Bloomberg reported citing forecasts.

It got real Old Testament yesterday and overnight. It closed the Hudson Line rail service indefinitely because the tracks have debris all over them. It also wiped out sections of the Palisades Parkway. Meaning, the river's at the bottom of the valley and bazillions of tons of water and debris are running off into it form both sides taking out whatever's in it's path.

We never lost power or anything but at one point I opened the garage door to see the roaring river that my driveway became for a while. I guarantee some of our neighbor's basements a little further away are underwater. Living on top of the hill in my neighborhood has it's advantages.

Sunday my wife and her friend went to a party five minutes away. Sure enough we had a thunderclap and a deluge five minutes afterwards. It was supposed to be a swim party but so much for that. Moses parted the sea yesterday afternoon!

Emergency in Montpelier: Capital of Vermont is CUT OFF by catastrophic flooding amid fears dam will now FAIL because of 'tidal wave' storm that dumped 7 INCHES of rain in 24 hours

Montpelier has been cut off by catastrophic floods which are threatening to break the city's dam. More than seven inches of rain fell on the capital in 22 hours, the National Weather Service warned. Forecasters have said more rain is on the way across several states which have been devastated by downpours, with Vermont placed at 'highest risk'. Some 7.33 inches of rain deluged the worst-hit parts of Montpelier over just 22 hours on Monday up to 9.30pm. President Biden declared a state of emergency in the state overnight and ordered federal aid to bolster local rescue efforts.
