Many hotels and motels across the street from one another are owned by the same people. Sometimes there are two or three people or corporations that own all the lodging in a busy place. The help moves back and forth too. Get on the shit list, and you might be looking for a new town. Being abusive and unreasonable is pretty much the fastest way onto the shit list. Well, that and not paying!

I think one thing that might help Gene, maybe, is that even if people do a Google search on him, that's a lot of info to wade through and it's not (imho) immediately apparent exactly what the problems with Gene are. I think it should be enough to raise a red flag and I would hope people would then read the material to figure out what's up but, believing as I do a lot of people just skim or want the bottom line quickly (or want to see a short video and not have to read anything more than a tweet).
Anyway, just a thought I had. To me if you do pay attention you see the problems, but look even at this forum, how many will go through a 123 page discussion? Which I just lengthened....

he is allegedly getting a refund from the 2nd motel.
so let's say he paid hotel roach for two nights and demanded a refund.
instead of demanding the refund in cash. he had it put back on his card.
the process takes about 48 hours.
when I was Robbed the thieves managed to use it at a convince store to get $25.00 in cigs gas etc. it took 48 hours to get the cash back.
But demanding a refund in cash is right away.
unless the hotel did not have the cash..

1. "Got what he paid for" - I doubt the client paid for an advert that nobody would listen to on a podcast which has no credibility. If I had advertised with Schemey I would want a refund too. Even 10 cents to advertise on a podcast nobody listens to anymore is too much. I bet Schemey inflated his listening figures when selling the adverts too - if the customer reports that to Paypal there is no way they will take Schemey's side and since Schemey doesn't like transparency there is no way he would take it further.
2. We have seen Schemey's advertising price list (a recent copy courtesy of Paul Kimball if I remember right). Those prices begin at well over $1000. Even if he gave them a big discount the $200 figure has to be wrong. If he had 1.80 in his Paypal account and over a thousand dollars was charged back he would be more than $200 under. Schemey's arithmetic fails meaning he must have had more than $1.80 in the account. That is assuming any of this happened which you always have to say when it comes to Schemey.
