Looks like Schemey is making up for the day he missed by sending an extra message today. So there is the previous message which I received twice in the early morning hours (one from the forum list, one from the newsletter list). Now we have a new newsletter emergency beg which looks like a completely generic post composed of old begs.

Three months ago, after being forced out of our apartment (and it wasn’t just about rent),

1. It was more than 3 months ago unless I'm mistaken.

2. What else was it about other than rent? I think he is trying to imply someone else was to blame for him getting thrown out (either the online haters, the constable being unfair or some other crap which follows the usual Schemey trope of him being an innocent victim and not responsible for what happens to him).

Those nasty law enforcement officials, they just won’t listen to Steinberg’s lame excuses. I wonder if he called them “bullies” when they told him to pack up and leave?

So I got a duplicate (slightly modified) of the same message on the forum list too. So 4 messages today.

There's a new Apple Event on October 30. Maybe Gene has realised he needs to grift hard to buy whatever crap they reveal then. Guaranteed he will want it.

Fresh email:

Super Emergency Friday Update! [Actual title]

Good Morning (Arizona time).

I'll be brief.

Wow he does love that expression.

As you know, I’ve gone through a long nightmare dealing with personal finances.

Three months ago, after being forced out of our apartment (and it wasn’t just about rent), we ended up in a motel to hang our hats while trying to find a new apartment.

Wasn't just about rent? Bullshit. If you had paid your rent, why would they have ever evicted you? Give me a break.

Also Gene, thank you for demonstrating that you do read the posts here by responding to my prior assertions that your being evicted from the Desert Mirage had nothing to do with "trolls" and everything to do with you not paying your rent.

Now it’s back to editing my radio shows.

Have a great weekend.

Peace,
Gene

Editing his 'radio' shows. Not driving for Uber or Lyft. Not doing any other type of work to bring in extra money. Not seeking a cheaper living situation. Not selling things out of his storage space - well, to be fair he may not be able to get into it since he has failed to pay the bill. Not seeking some type of counseling.

Editing his podcasts and making an appeal for the charity of others. Charity he claims he needs or he, his wife and dog will be out on the streets.

I get that the podcasts bring in some money in addition to the SS income but, clearly nowhere near enough.

He claims he is about to be sleeping in his car and his plan in the face of that is: editing his podcasts and sending an email titled "Super Emergency Friday Update!" and hoping someone somewhere takes pity on him and their pity takes the form of cash sent via PayPal.

Gene, I don't know, maybe use some of the money you're trying to save for an apartment? Or get out and drive for Uber or Lyft, then worry about the podcasts either tonight once it's dark and you can't drive, or in 2020 after you've finally managed to make it back into an apartment?

Every day is exactly the same in Schemey world according to his e-begs:

1. He must pay the motel bill. Shock!
2. He must pay for storage despite the room being full of 3 carloads of stuff.
3. He must save for an apartment.
4. But don't worry he is heroically producing the Parafraud podcast, for all of those 3 people that still listen (if that).

So occasionally we get the added storyline components of needing money for food (conning a restaurant into giving a free meal or not being able to afford shopping delivery), the motel wanting to or actually kicking him out, Anders popping in and out of existence (like a subatomic particle in quantum physics), Uber/Lyft LARPing etc. but these 4 points never seem to change.

At this point who actually buys the story? Who actually sends him money and if nobody is sending him money why does he keep putting out these garbage messages?

Steinberg must feel he was so successful begging for money in the past. Now that people are wise to him, he just can’t fathom how his usual begging messages have failed him now. He is a one trick pony and he can’t bring himself to learn anything new.

Absolutely not true. He goes on other podcasts a lot more. He doesn't go on the Paracast very often at all.
weird, why RPJ would do something like this then?
Not sure what his current blog is as he has had several in the past and he is not someone I keep up with. Just google Jeremy Vaeni - to find more but I think this is the main one:

JayVay
uh oh, look what if found: Our Undoing – OurUndoing.com. It's what we look like waking up.
yep looks like we have another idiot to add to the list
I don't agree with that. I do agree that clickbait titles are annoying but it's not the same as fraudulently begging from people and all the other nonsense that Gene has been doing.
to me attention is as precious as money

Who knows. Ask him. As far as I know he isn't even selling a book.

Looks like he has gone full new age guru. It is weird how in the paranormal people start of serious and then go off the deep end like they have lost all logic and reason.

How much attention does a title use up? If you think a site has clickbait titles don't use it, you will probably save a lot of time because you will avoid most of the internet.

That or it is compulsive behavior. Or it still works often enough he won't give it up. It's probably a pretty small investment of time for him to put together and send these emails.

I don't know if it was true of course but a commenter at the UFO Trail blog claimed to have sent Gene $250 on October 1st in response to Gene's emails. The commenter then subsequently found the UFO Trail blog, etc.

If that is true and somewhat representative, I would think it's hard for Gene to give up on trying the slot machine of his emails day after day. Little cost to him that he recognizes, and maybe once in a blue moon he gets $250 in return.

Yes there may well be an element of gambling for him. Perhaps he is hoping some rich person will get his message and send him a million dollars.

I honestly don't know if he is a casino gambler. He appears to me to have more the lifestyle of a shut-in. But the emails seem like a form of gambling.

To be honest these days it is pretty easy to gamble online. You don't even have to get out of bed.

Fair enough. I've just never been sure I see him, or Barbara, frequenting casinos. I think it's possible. I of course have pretty limited info about Gene and less about Barbara, so just my impressions.

We do know that Gene is a man who drove to two different McDonald's in Mesa in one day because a complete stranger on the Internet said he would hand Gene guy a bag of cash. So who knows what else Gene might do if he thought a windfall could be in it for him.

Gambling wouldn't seem to be out of the question.

thats indeed quite bizzare, in fact the only time he ever wrote anything for a book, he later shared it for free in his blog
so its a true enigma why he did that
he is one of the very few people in ufology right now that are thinking out of the box, so i have no idea why he is supporting steinberg

also the paranormal Davey affair shows he will do anything for cash.

its one of those things that i have found no explanation for, i have never done anything like that, much less supported any hoaxer

if the article is written by someone i like, then i will still read it, otherwise nope

I agree but I don't think we should underestimate Gene's ability to play the poor old man role and convince people that he is an innocent victim. It may be that he buys Gene's story and accepts it at face value.
