I did some reaserch.
a 5 by 5 locker is $35!
a 10 by 10 runs 50 to 80
a 15 by 10 runs 134
so with his income he can't pay for this minor expense?

Heh, my wife and I have been in London only once (we really hope to visit again), and we did the same thing while there, brought some groceries back to the room. The cheese and onion sandwich from Marks and Spencer, a chain we do not have in the U.S., was almost life changing. Yes I love Marks and Spencer's food.

Although they are considered an expensive "brand" as supermarkets go, it is better value than even the lowest market fast food and much better for you (as long as you don't have the cheese and onion sandwich every time - must admit that is one of my favourites too!) . If you find something like a Tesco Express or a Co-op they often have similar sandwiches and fresh salads for about half to two thirds the price. The quality is almost equal too, the one thing you lose out on compared to M&S is the massive variety of foods (particularly more exotic things- but that is what you get with a posh shop and I suppose why you pay more).

With me being diabetic I avoid the sandwiches in favour of lower carb alternatives now (for weight reasons) so that I can keep the amount of insulin I use to a minimum, I find that I put on weight like crazy with high carb foods (they are super tasty though and fine if you have a functioning pancreas - injecting is always going to be less efficient).

So - "yet another incentive"? - What are the other previous incentives?

Maybe:

1. You get to be on Gene's permanent beggar's list and a part of his lifelong Groundhog Day.

2. You get a warm feeling inside knowing that Gene is not using that money to improve the show but is smoking it/gambling it/Faberge egging it or whatever the hell he does with it.

3. You get more knowledge of garbage TV shows you will never watch than you ever wanted.

4. The knowledge that if you ever question Gene's behaviour he will summarily ban you from the forum, meaning you can't access your subscription and you don't get a refund.


Great incentives - can't imagine why there aren't a million new subscribers beating down his metaphorical door.

is she aware of the grift?
Geneva I believe her name is.
any idea why they divorced?
when did Gene marry barbs?

Still alive. She is aware of it and thinks it is fine - apparently she has defended him on FB about it. They are still good friends apparently which is weird in itself.

So far as I know, it's Geneva Hagen, a friend of Gene Steinberg on Facebook. If I'm mistaken someone please correct me.

I became aware of her on FB by seeing her attack 'trolls' who were questioning Gene's beg-posts.

How someone could have been married to the guy and not figured out what he is all about, I do not know, so perhaps I've got the wrong lady there.

You have the right person. That was Steinberg’s ex-wife.

That's definitely her. I don't think it's a case of her not knowing him. I think it's a case of her being fine with grifting. As I have said before I doubt the grifting is new and she was likely fully onboard with it when they were married.

I looked at her FB..don't look like someone who is helping to grift. I did not see any defense of gene.

It was a few months ago when Gene had a fundraiser on Facebook. People were commenting on it about what a grief her is, and she was defending him there. I think she popped up to defend him on a few of his routine Facebook posts of his 'gene-steinberg-emergencies' URL, that he (usually) posts when he sends out a new beg email.

You'd have to go back a ways to find her comments and I think the fundraiser cannot be seen any longer in any case. She was defending Gene around the same time Gil Bavel was.
