I'm not sure why people are dragging her into it there. She has defended her ex husband and made various dumb suggestions on his Facebook, while carefully pointing out she can't give him any cash herself. She was married to Gene once; I wouldn't expect that she has great judgment or much on the ball. But splashing her name on the comments there and accusing her, I suspect that's just giving Gene something else to whine about in his emails ("Now the trolls are attacking my ex-wife!"). Guess we'll see.

Also on thinking about it I agree it's best to leave other people like family members out of it unless they actively bring themselves in. Best to focus on Schemey. He is drama enough.

Maybe I'm just still too naive but part of me still hopes that he proves us wrong. I know the chance is so small as to be almost zero but he might actually find that he enjoyed his life more and actually felt better if he became a productive member of society. It's probably too late to rescue his reputation (given that he is in 70s - would take too long for people to forgive) but he can still rescue himself from being a leech for the last part of his life.

The Para Site Forum seems even worse than before. Only one post in the last few days by someone who isn't Gene - it is odd though because it seems to be one guy who is just talking to himself. Even Squatchygirl has stopped posting.

I like to think he could somehow get help - psychological help, not cash - and free himself from this apparent begging compulsion, and I suppose also have someone managing his financial affairs so he is forced to live within a sane budget. Sadly I don't think either of these things happen but it's nice to imagine he could change for the better, or get help that got him to a better place where he wasn't dragging himself his wife and the dog through motels in the name of, what, riches through podcasting or finally connecting with someone wealthy enough to bless him with a huge handout?

Steinberg will never change his stripes. He told me so in an email. I told him to quit begging and get a job with an Apple store. He wrote me saying a retail position was beneath the proud Steinberg. Truth be told, I think he is a technology dunce. He really pretends to know computers. I think that he proved this when he as trying to update the Paracast website. It was over his head to make some simple upgrades.

He even says that he can’t perform simple tasks at the age of 73. That includes joining the work force after all this time. His buddies Jim Moseley and Tim Beckley never worked at real jobs. Why should he?

This is probably a bit off topic but do any of you remember Joe Montaldo? I remember listening to his show years ago and thinking that he was a con artist too. A quick Google search didn't pull up anything nefarious about him. All this talk about Gene and his garbage behavior primed my memory for other UFO scammers.

Maybe there should be a seperate thread dedicated to these people? Sort of like a new UFO watchdog only not affiliated with the Parascam.

Don't remember him but there definitely needs to be a resource like a list to warn people about obvious scammers whether they are faking evidence or just using the field for grifting - it all causes damage.

So lets say he got a cheap/crapper place (Motel 6) and it is $59.95 per night. That's still like $1800/mo. And sorry, but no motel mgmt is going to live day to day on the edge of their seats watching the minute hand wind down to see if Crimeberg is going to pay again. After 2 days of that shit max - they'd put a stop to it. As if he really has $0.00 in his account and then stares at PayPal notifications all day waiting to get that $59.95 in his account and then when he does go "Whew! Just in the nick of time! I only had 7 more minutes and we'd be living under a freeway overpass!" yeah, um that's not how his situation with the hotel is working. But that's the picture he wants to paint.

Yes the quantum furniture that both does exist and doesn't exist. That when it does exist you don't need since you live in a motel (allegedly) or you live in luxury furnished apartments (which probably won't happen again) - either way you don't need it.
