No this is our proof that you don't read. There is no way you could have read everything on the UFOtrail so fast and you have also ignored and dodged any points made to you on here.

Good luck with your relationship with Steinberg - hopefully you will be the one person who worked with him who didn't end up getting screwed - I won't hold my breath though.

Really take time to read them, but don't worry about the comments. Then skim the record of Gene's emails at @SchemeGeneRC at Twitter. I'm not saying read the comments, just read the screenshots of Gene's actual emails, of which he preserves no record online (quite intentionally I believe). See if the narrative there makes any sense to you. That's my advice if you honestly want to understand the problems people have with Gene Steinberg. If you ignore it, well, it's a free world.

Before going into business, or associating yourself professionally, with anybody surely you have to conduct full due diligence? Oh and for extra credit, ponder if someone suggesting people donate money to him instead of to people impacted by Hurricane Harvey seems like a sign of a good dude you want to help out.

Realize too however Gene frames things, he has managed to swing a motel room for the past 7 months or so. He has resources. He has a car, he has a smartphone, he manages to produce two podcasts a week. There are people way worse off than Gene; some have probably donated money to him based on one of his "save my life!" type appeals. He just wants more money from others, God alone knows why.

For Gene to "move past this" he needs to change his own behavior.

Perhaps you and J. Randall Murphy are in your own ways trying to help him. I do not think he can be helped, other than by changing his behaviors. Continuing to expect the goodwill of his audience to provide him "the trappings of a middle class lifestyle" (as I believe he has expressed it) is not a good plan. Lying to capitalize on that goodwill has been an even worse plan.

Yes I realize Gene is now 73 years old but he set this course for himself long ago and has stubbornly stuck to it, resulting in himself, his wife and their dog spending most of the past year in motel rooms. The last apartment he managed to snag, he didn't pay the rent and got evicted but cannot own up to that and blames "trolls".

Gene alleges for the last 7-8 months he's been unable to put together the money for a new apartment. He further states he's struggling each day to have the money to pay daily (?!) for the motel room - this despite his Social Security income. His bank accounts and PayPal accounts have allegedly been overdrawn multiple times in this timeframe, and his cell service shut off for non-payment. What happened to his storage place? (Why did he even have a storage place to begin with?) He said he was behind on payments there then stopped speaking of it.

Near daily and sometimes more than daily emails claiming he's about to be tossed out in the street (which has never happened), or that he cannot pay his bills, without donations. And yet, never once has he asked for a job or a lead on work. Only for money, with no strings attached. And where is his son in all this? Why is it incumbent on the members of Gene's mailing lists to finance his lifestyle?

I don't know what will help Gene but respectfully I don't think enabling him to continue as a podcaster or setting up a Shopify powered store for him is going to solve his problems. His own behavior is the root of his problems and he shows no inclination to change.
