If Kim Jong un sends a missile and airbursts a Nuke over the Pacific what do you think will happen ?
Ah no worries, wasn't thinking you were having a dig or anything, some topics can be more heated than others, it is what it is, I think any muslim would feel welcome here, nothing bad has been said about them, muslim terrorists on the other hand are not welcome in this world, much less this board...
oh ok then
My point is that the very existance of nuclear weapons demonstrates a flaw in humanity...
Not in my humanity-- I bet you do not like the idea of nuclear weapons either.
I'll also suggest the vast majority of people on this planet do not like the idea of nuclear weapons.
Again= your point is?
Oh... just that I am certain nuclear weapons will eventually be the end of humanity... since we are dumb enough to build them... are probably dumb enough to use them....
again== who's 'we'?
All of humanity will be effected... So what if you didnt build it, humanity did
OK--- when you say 'we' I take it you're not referring to the likes of you & me & probably all the members of this place/ people you know etc.. Correct?
So again== who's the 'we' you're referring to?? We'll get there eventually, I'm sure
WE = Military
Escalation is the problem, People think this political divide is devastating. But other countries have had hard feelings for the U.S for much longer. The problem is. There comes a point when a peaceful resolution isn't the answer that people are yearning for. There comes a time when people get Angry, Fed up with everything and they just want retribution.
Make no mistake, The lines in the sand are clearly drawn. It may take years. But someone at some point will go nuclear.
yeah so my point is:
not a flaw in humanity as in the likes of you & me= a flaw in the authorities is the point, agree?
you're suggesting the military/ governments/ authorities represent humanity! which of course they don't, do they!? think before you speak- all dew respect
The Big Red Button will sort it all out once and for all time I agree.
Yeah. Problem is the military is part of overall humanity...
yet it seems to be dominant in your replies..in who's eyes do you feel they're dominant?
I kind of back Dej in his issues with the military. I think they are glamorized for doing a job they are paid well to do, And to be honest they expect their ass to be kissed for doing their job. on a personal level, if someone has worked for or joined the Military. That's great I respect the dedication it takes to do that. However. Don't expect me to hero worship them for doing a job they literally had no choice but to do once they signed that dotted line.
I mean, There are people who wake up every morning and put their lives on the line and die in the line of duty. You never hear anyone say. Oh, That Construction worker. What a hero!! or Oh that Seven Eleven Clerk, What a hero she is huh?
There are far too much Ego and Self-importance and pomp and circumstance to the Military persona. It almost demands you offer them your virgin daughter as a consolation prize for gracing you with their presence.
It's a real blase issue for me.
Let's get to the crux of it here:
what the likes of Kchoo really mean is= a galactic federation (if there is one) will not include us because we're a worring planet..
Now the truth is the vast vast majority of folk on this planet just want to live in peace & bring up their children in a wonderful loving environment.
It's only the very very small minority of folk on this planet that courses problems!
If this 'galactic federation' has difficulty understanding the 'one bad apple' concept then maybe they're not as enlightened/ all understanding as some seem to think!
Edit to add:
sorry i forgot to say:
in my opinion
Separate names with a comma.
