old comics that didn't make it to the 21st century

No thats not mine, but I had a Marvel collection in my early teens but can't remember what happened to it...

From the mid 80s to early 90s, comic collecting was huge. But for some reason that scene went bust.

I would assume that truly rare, vintage comics are still valuable, but what's the use of collecting new comics, when so many others are doing the same? If tons of particular issues are being preserved, they'll never truly be rare, and thus won't ever be worth much.

It's the difference between old, commonplace stuff that gets sold off cheap, and exceptional, uncommon antiques.

I was offered an old comic in the local bookshop the other day it was a Dell comic like this one . It was Flash Gordon. I said no and he never told me the price . Are they expensive ? It looked in good condition.

Extraño, a homosexual Peruvian magician, with energy powers and every gay stereotype you can think of. Presumably the Guardians had also failed in their research when choosing him for a breeding partner. Was eventually revealed to be HIV positive, possibly as a result of an attack by the AIDS-powered vampire Hemo-Goblin. Go ahead and read that last sentence again
