Been tinkering with this motorized bike. It's a zeda 80 on a Cranbrook. No windowed piston, or Reed valve . Just a stock motor. And now it's broke in good. It keeps getting faster. I hit 40mph today.20220627_095202.jpg Screenshot_20220627-103048_Gallery.jpg

When I first purchased my car last year, one of the first things I checked was the cabin filter...It was far worse than the one in your picture, probably never changed since the car was new in 2013 lol...I've changed the filter twice since I've owned the car...

My central air unit is 25+ years old, and still is in good shape. But the last time someone was out to fix it said he couldn't get parts no more for it, and if it brakes down. I would be looking at a new unit. So before it takes a crap I bought a decent window ac for $500. Just to play it safe.and not use the central unit It's not the time to be waiting for a repair man and parts I might not be able to get. Cheaper to get a window unit than replacing a central air unit or Evan a part nowadays.the light on the light pole out front would dim bad when my unit kicked on before. Not now.peace out

I looked into a central air retrofit some years ago - my house has hydronic baseboard heating and no ductwork. A mini-split seemed much more practical and subjectively, a very popular choice around here these days. I wound up sticking a 12K BTU Panasonic through the wall and although it's old and not quiet you can hang meat in here when it gets going. Brrrr. When and if it dies I'll put in the mini split. Wiring's easy.

Never had air conditioning at all until I bought this house in '97 and never cared. You don't miss something you never had. I will admit a small bedroom window unit is nice but if it were left up to me I probably wouldn't bother with it.

You know what I'd really like that I haven't been able to find ? We had a weird little drum fan, a cylinder maybe 18-24" tall and 12-18" diameter that sat under the kitchen table that vented air 360 degrees. Kept all the plumbing under the table comfortable I guess while they sat and chain smoked their way through several pots of black coffee. My brother's still got it but you'd think somebody somewhere would still make them.

I admit I am not particularly environmentally responsible, but I've taken a baby step in that direction. For some time, I was purchasing bottled water. - Why? Believe it or not, I starting doing so after destroying a laptop via a spillage. The idea is even if I knock the bottle over, the liquid shouldn't escape. - Anyway, I'd use each bottle a couple of times, then discard it. Recently, though, not only has the price gone up, but my local supermarket repeatedly failed to stock my preferred size. Irritated by this, I have switched to reusable bottles.

True, they are still plastic, but as I will only utilize them for water, they should last a rather long time. A little better for the environment, despite that not being my original motive.

When you get abducted at night and wake up in the morning . Do you feel like you were cleaned or disinfected feel and smell?

My dog was deliberately abducted by a surgeon to fix a problem, which he did. When we picked her up I was expecting the usual iodine discoloration, antiseptic smell. Instead she came home with a tire fire funk, like she'd been doing burnouts or something. Had to wait two weeks to bathe her and it was a looooong two weeks.

I wonder if there are other sensory experiences that aren't being generally reported.

a tire fire funk

A few years ago my dog had 3 skunk 'incidents' in one year, one which the first whiff I got was a tire fire funk...However that tire fire whiff turned to that familiar nasty skunk smell in a moment's flash and the repeated bathings began...Won't forget that year...One of those skunk encounters that year was in the middle of the night, he woke me up needing to go out, so I left him out only for him to come back stinking like hell...I was too tired and waited til morning to bath him and left him outside on the deck the rest of the night....But I didn't get any sleep the rest of that night anyway with him howling and whining all night cause he was left outside...

I keep an emergency bottle of ‘No Smell’ or something similar. It immediately takes away most, not all, of skunk smell. Dogs usually get it right in the snoot and I just wipe the face down right away.

I play computer chess every day. Earlier versions of Windows used to incoporate a nice game, Chess Titans, but they dropped it several years ago. I now play against Shredder.

OMG! I'm so excited because I have been house bound since my car got stolen at the beginning of June this year. I am going to look at this car in a couple of hours.

I just hope it drives as good as it looks..

We just went through this and the traditional dealership model is dead, or at least diseased. Take the Subaru place we just dealt with.

I can see the need for authorized, standardized dealership service for warranty, etc for any vehicle. They all need something, gas electric or hybrid. Machines wear out and break. Roswell, right ? Can't even call for a tow on that one but the US Army supposedly provides flatbed service free of charge. But I digress .....

The service writers, mechanics, vehicle detailers, parts counter and drivers. All necessary. But virtually the entire Sales Dept we saw was quite literally doing nothing, and when they did do anything it was slow and sloppy. You could hit the chrome handle and replace the lot of them with a kiosk.
